Best Resort Table Service?

I would suggest the Grand Floridian Café. It's not particularly well themed, but we've been able to get ADRs there fairly easily. You can look around the GF resort, get on the monorail and resort hop to the CR, WL and Poly after you eat.

I normally have a terrible server and table at OHANA but we love the food so it's a must TS. Had great service at Captains Grille and Crew Cup ( which is a lounge with food like the buttermilk shrimp which is an awesome appetizer type meal) over at Yacht Club every time I've been there over the past 4 years. Have never had very good service at an EPCOT restaurant, but it's never been truly terrible and always try to have a burger at Chefs de France , they are so good. Have always had good service at Mama Melrose. Always had good service at Be Our Guest, Always had adequate service at the few place we've dined at DTD like Bongo's and Wolfgang. Same for the character meals, the service was adequate. Always had great service at Liberty Tree, Yak & Yeti and BOMA.
I know you said not to rank signatures, but I loved Yachtsman service and the food when we dined there last April. It was exactly what I expect a $$$$ to be.

In your opinion, what is the best table service restaurant at the on-property resorts at WDW, excluding the signature dining restaurants? We will not be arriving at WDW until mid-late afternoon our first day next spring, so we would like to book an ADR at one of the resort TS restaurants. Any suggestions?
Grand Floridian Café - This is a fine, relaxing atmosphere with very attentive, non-intrusive, wait-staff. Pricing is not $$$$ and menu is excellent.

Some may say it's difficult to get to, and I am not sure if you are including buffets as TS, but Trail's End is a very good choice for the cost. And if you are vegan, Chef TJ will prepare you an amazing 4 course meal (at least that is what happened for my sister the last 2 times we were there).

Hands down, V&A, but you said no signatures. Personally, I'd stay away from the TS restaurants at the moderates and stick with the non-signature restaurants at the deluxes, with the caveat that Chef Mickey is character dining a la buffet (and not that great) and Whispering Canyons at WL may get on people's nerves with the animated servers. I would suggest Grand Floridian Café. Haven't had a bad meal there yet - eaten breakfast (oh, I'm starting to drool just thinking of their citrus pancakes, yum), lunch and dinner. Had an excellent Thanksgiving dinner there last year. And you get the added bonus of wandering out to the marina and watching the fireworks.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I guess I should have mentioned that the restaurant we choose has to fit into the DDP  We were thinking Fulton's at Disney Springs, but that takes 2 TS credits, so....no.

I've eaten at Fulton's twice. And never again. Overpriced, underwhelming seafood. I live on Florida's Gulf Coast, so I know what good seafood should be and Fulton's isn't it. Cannot believe it is now 2 TS credits... does that mean Disney now considers it a signature level restaurant? Because if you are thinking of Disney Springs, we've always enjoyed Wolfgang Puck's over near AMC. And they have really good pizza if you have kids with limited palates.

Sorry, but I gotta disagree with you on Fulton's. I've had 4 meals there, and they've all been excellent, with great service. I'm not from the Gulf Coast, so I don't have that background for comparison. But I do enjoy seafood fixed right, and Fulton's has always been great.

Just an update on my original post-seeing as we are driving to WDW from Ontario, we are going to skip dinner that first night, and probly just get pizza at the resort. However, that TS credit that we will not be using, we are going to put towards a 2 TS credit signature dining ADR later in the week, so a lot of your suggestions sound very good at this point

Just make sure to review the menus of those signature TS restaurants you are interested in to insure that all members of your travel party will have choices they will enjoy. And most signature restaurants have a dress code (not that they enforce it). I don't believe shorts/jeans and a t-shirt are considered business casual.

Another vote for best TS for Cali Grill. We also enjoyed TS at The Wave. Although we haven't experienced all the establishments in the prior responses, so only reporting on what we have been to.

A nice dinner and relaxing evening is a great way to start your vacation. AK's Sanaa is our one of our favorites- interesting and great food with a nicely themed decor. Plus, there's a huge window that looks out on the animal area. We like to relax and watch the animals and sit in the lobby or beside the big indoor fire pit, just off the lobby.

Another favorite, although much less interesting as far as decor goes, is the Grand Floridian Cafe. The food has always been great and the service excellent. It can be busy and noisy with families around dinner time, but quieter if you wait a bit later. We make time to sit in the lobby and listen to the live band play. Also, it is our tradition on arrival day to ride the monorail to each resort and walk around a bit, sometimes stopping at the MK main gate to soak up some that magical Disney air. Time dinner right, and you can watch the fireworks from the boat dock or catch the electrical water pageant before heading back to your room.

I've not done many resort table service meals, unfortunately; only Sanaa and breakfast at 1900 Park Faire. Both are very lovely spots, though, in my opinion.
