Best resort room for 5 adults

Hi, we are traveling to WDW nest year. We have a new son-in-law bringing our party up to 5. I've looked at several different room types and wonder if anyone can give some advice. We've stayed at the FW cabins with 6 and that is an option, but we always like to try a new place so that's on the back burner for now. I know several resorts "sleep 5" but really is that extra fold out chair/couch usable for an adult? Thanks for the help

My understanding that the pull out at Port Orleans for the 5th stretches the definition of comfort for a ten year old. My recommendation would be looking into two rooms, or possibly renting points for a DVC two bedroom.

You will probably want to look into a one bedroom unit at one of the DVC resorts. Many of them now sleep 5. They will include a master bedroom with a king size bed, a sleeper sofa, and a sleeper chair. All of them are just fine for adults (teen boy in our group uses the sleep chair with room to spare) and I can personally say that the sleeper chairs and sofa are extremely comfortable. If you're willing to pay more, you might also want to look into a two bedroom unit. This unit will have one king bed in the first bedroom, two queen beds in the second bedroom, and a living room with a sleeper sofa and sleeper chair. Your other option would be Art of Animation, but I think you'd be happier at one of the DVCs. If you go this route, you should look into renting points.
