Best Pop Century locations

We made our reservations yesterday to take advantage of the free dining. It occurred to me that I didn't make a room request other than non-preferred. Which building/area would you consider the best. We'd like a quieter room, i.e not facing a pool, and if we had a view of Epcot, that'd be great.

I actually stayed in the 70s (I think B side) and overlooked the lake-not directly, my room (Room 6335) was off to the side a bit. I thought the view was spectacular. Don't know if that's the Epcot side as we were never there to see fireworks or anything...but it was beautiful and close to the main building.

If you looking to be close, you really aren't that bad in the 70's or 50's. I was in the 70's and was close to everything. As long as you aren't in he 80's or 90's then you are pretty good shape.

Actually, I have to disagree. I was in the 90s once too and did not think it was so bad. We cut across the parking lot so it was about the same distance as it was from 70s to the main building. (70s may have been a little less...but not by much)

In Feb. I was at pop century we stayed in the 1980 and as for being close to the main building it was pretty far but I didnt really mind since I wasnt ever in a rush, but the chilly nights when we came back i wished we had a room somewhat closer.:brick:

Our family stayed in PC for the first time in January - we were in the 50's, rooms 3346 and 3347. We overlooked a courtyard between the 50's and 60's, and could see the lake from our room. I think the rooms on the back of our section would be great - we walked around there at night and could see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom and Epcot. They overlooked the lake and some pretty landscaping - so, opposite the pool side of the building. It was the building with Tramp out front, and the room numbers are from 3101 - 3472. We loved it there - the food court was excellent and it wasn't too far of a walk from our rooms. Have fun!!!

We've stayed in the 70's building the last few times we have gone and we love it. We were in the Big Wheel section, I asked for as close as we could get without being preferred. So close to the buses, and the main building. It was great! Have fun!

50's building #3 facing the lake. It's quiet, has a nice little view, not too far from the main entrance, AND you can see Illuminations fireworks at night. :king:

does it sound silly that i requested a room in one of the 80s buildings? :hammer:

i don't think so. cuz last year, when we stayed at all-star sports, we stayed in the baseball building closest to the parking lot. we loved it because it was always so quiet, only a short distane from the homerun pool, not the main pool which was always loud and chaotic; and close to the parking lot, so when we were dropped off by the bus, we just walked to the left of the main building and cut through there. it wasn't a very long walk at all.

so we requested the building at pop that's pretty much in the same spot.

plus, my husband and i are total children of the 80's.

Not at all. If that is going to make you happy and it is after all YOUR vacation, you should get what you want.

pop building?

 WE stayed in the 70s building by the giant Mickey phone but we got a room on the back facing the lake. Not much of a walk to the food court or the busses. They said the back of the 50s rooms have a view of Epcot fireworks, however. I couldnt see where any room at POP was a bad place to be. We totally loved it.!!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

We were just at the POP last month and stayed in the 50's buildings. Room 3319. It was great. Not a far walk to or from buses/food court. Our room faced the Lake so it was quiet. I would love to stay at this location again next time we are there.

We requested the 80's building for May. I chose it because I was born in the 80's and thought it was neat looking. Sometimes being farther away from the main building can be a blessing.

We like the 70s the best, but the 50s are not that bad either. If you want peaceful, the backside of the 50's is great, because you dont have the pool, and you do have a lake view depending on what building you are in. I was also in the back side of the 80s once. It was nice, but very far from everything. We did cut across the parking lot to get to the busses, but it was still a walk.
