Best places to watch ILLUMINATIONS?

What are the best places to watch the show or can it be viewed from anywhere? How early do you need to begin finding a spot?

I'd like to know the least crowded place from which to watch illuminations. I'm willing to trade "the best view" for an "ok view" with low crowds.

The Cantina in Mexico supposed to be great. But hard to get in.

Climb the steps in Canada and stand outside the gift store. Great view (because you are higher) and few people. We arrived 5 minutes before show time.

Best place I found was in Italy. Head onto the bridge where the gondolas are. Plenty of room and space. We had a drink and wandered over 20 minutes before the start and got a great view.

We watched from Morocco, just a little ways past the lounge.

I like to watch from Japan up on the balcony at Teppan Edo. Usually not crowded and the view is pretty darn good too.

Before you pick any spot, check which way the wind is blowing. If you are downwind you will end up with a less than clear view because of all the smoke. If there is a breeze, it seems to blow more often towards the Mexico side of the lake.
