I asked this before, but now with the Colts and Saints in the superbowl I need opinions on the best place to watch. I will be staying at the beach club on superbowl sunday:D.
Thanks

Where else??? ESPN Club on The Boardwalk :sohappy:

Yep!! It's such a fun place to watch games. I watched Pens playoff games there last year, and the environment was great! It's so perfect for you staying at the Beach Club, because you can just walk right over!

Get there very early though! Tables will fill up, and people won't leave. For playoff games, we had someone go way early and get a table, and we would order drinks/appetizers throughout the game.

Espn Club for sure. Having watched a Super Bowl there before, it is just a blast. We got there around 3 and got a table in the bar with another couple, they were great. Some people come and go so move quick if a spot opens. They also set up a huge TV outside with some tables but the energy is inside. We also stayed @ BC and it was nice to be able to walk home. Have Fun!

What about the Wide World of Sports restaurant/bar? I'm thinking somebody's doing Spring training over there- so it'll most likely be open- since it's out of the way- probably not too busy.

Also- there's a really cool lounge at Saratoga Springs in the main building with a bar and pool tables and lots of comfy seating. Something like that might fit your needs.....

ESPN Club on the Boardwalk is the most obvious place but as an alternative or two:

We were at WDW recently and stayed club level at AKL. Not sure if the OP is staying club level but the club lounge had a tv. With the complimentary refreshments it seemed like a great place for the guys. In the mornings there was always folks hanging around watching the news and I know at least once we saw a group camped out on the sofas watching some sporting event (can ya tell I don't watch sports???). Even throughout the afternoon when beer isn't placed out in the open lounge cast told us a few times that if we requested it they'd bring us a beer. I took them up on the offer a couple times. :D

Also, from the club lounge we could hear cheering and the like from downstairs at the resort bar/lounge. I'm thinking this was also a good place to watch a sporting event. All the deluxes have bars/lounges so that could also be a good alternative. And just think, if a particular lounge is full of fans for the team you aren't pulling for you can just hop over to another resort and see if you can find a majority of your peeps there.

I agree ESPN, but when we were there for 1/2 it was crowded, since we were staying at Boardwalk Villas, BWV, we watched in our room and opened the doors to the BW, we could here the ESPN club but didnt need to deal with the crowds.

DH, and DS who are football Fanatics had a blast.

ESPN is a good first choice.

If you are in/around the parks...we watched the Pens stanley cup playoffs at Rainforest Cafe at the bar. It was a good way to be at the park right until the game started.

I'm sure the environment is better at ESPN, though never been there for a big game! Have fun!

ESPN club is fine if you are interested in going super early to find a table and parking yourself for the duration. My personal choice would be to go to the Crew's Cup Lounge. This is the bar that's right next to the Yatchsman Steakhouse. It's not a huge place, but I never not been able to find a seat in here. They offer a limited menu from the Yatchsman Steakhouse and the service has always been great. Wes & Shawn (bartenders) have always taken great care of me & my DH. (There is also a really nice lady that usually works there as well, but I can't remember her name.) I watched the UF vs. UGA game here last October & had a great time. They also accept the TIW card. You'll still have to go early to get a seat I would think as it will be Superbowl Sunday, but it shouldn't be anything like the ESPN Club.

Have fun & Geaux Saints!
