Best place to take wife for anniversary?

We are going for food and wine festival. Two nights. Staying at boardwalk. Going to see boys II men her favorite band. Probably do the dinner on a different night so we can enjoy the evening seperatly. We are passholders so we can come and go as we please

Because it is a short trip, if you decide to go somewhere that you would have to take a WDW bus to, I would suggest taking a cab - it is not expensive ($10 or so each way) and saves a lot of time and effort.

You could also pair up the dinner with seeing B2M by eating at Epcot. Monsieur Paul could be quite romantic, or (less expensively and more 'fun') Chefs de France. Tutto Italia also has slight romance to it. If you want something with a more 'relaxed' atmosphere and perhaps more beverage enhancement, how about some wine tasting and small plates at Tutto Gusto? And many people consider San Angel Inn a very romantic location.

My wife and I have done Cali Grill, V&A, Citricos, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, San Angel Inn, Spoodles, and Boma as Anniversary celebrations and can't really complain about any of the experiences. We don't equate expensive or fancy with romantic and I expect that the next time we visit to celebrate our anniversary we will do Tutto Gusto or Cava as a more laid back celebration.

I like the idea of Monsieur Paul or Tutto Italia - however I have heard mixed reviews of Monsieur Paul's lately.

Something else the OP may want to look into is if there are any special F&W dinners available during their stay.

I recently ate at Monsieur Paul and thought it was incredible! It's definitely more refined than some of the other places and more formal feeling, but it might be perfect for an anniversary dinner. I've eaten at quite a few signature restaurants and I'm surprised Monsieur Paul doesn't get more mention because I was wowed by the food and atmosphere there.

That said, if you are looking for something quiet and romantic, I suggest going as early as possible as it was really lovely for the first part of our meal when it wasn't crowded, but was noisy and less enjoyable once the restaurant got full later on. I was very impressed (and will be posting later on with pics and a review).

I'll also agree with others that personality and food preferences should come into play as well. Pick a place with dishes you know you'll like and pick a place with an atmosphere you'll like. For instance, if you like something more playful and fun you might like Flying Fish (although I'm not a huge fan of the food). If you want something more romantic I'd pick Monsieur Paul or Jiko. However, California Grill is always my all-around favorite between the good food, views and fireworks.

Happy Anniversary no matter where you dine!

California Grill is a great option. Another one would be dinner somewhere else and then a Wishes cruise around Bay lake. We've done that a couple times and if the weather is nice it can be a really great and romantic experience.

Also if Food and Wine is going on while you're there, you might want to consider one of the special evening events going on during the festival.

A California Grill reservation that coincides with Wishes would be my top choice. Really just a great way to celebrate anything. Another great experience is Jiko with its Savannah view. If you are staying in the Epcot area and don't want to go far your room, Yahtsman and Flying Fish would be your best choices.

While I agree that Jiko is a great choice, they don't have any savannah view. The windows overlook the pathway to the pool area. (Romantic, hunh...) Sanaa has the windows that overlook a savannah.

I'd rank Monsieur Paul down near the bottom, wasn't impressed with the food or service at all. Admittedly this was pre-refurb, so it may be better now, but Jiko, Cali Grill, BlueZoo are all great restaurants as are some of the others mentioned.
