Both our soon to be 7 year old son and soon to be 14 year old daughter are celebrating their birthdays in Disney when we go in September. We already have all our dining reservations in place. We just don't know which are the better places to celebrate birthdays. Here is a list of what we have reserved.

Chef Mickey's
Narcoossee's
Le Cellier
Rose and Crown
Boma
The Wave
Les Chef De France
Yak & Yeti
Grand Floridian Cafe (for breakfast)

Any suggestions? Obviously, both kids are wanting the best freebee they can get.

Thanks much!

If it's for the kids I would say Chef Mickey's the characters will pose and make a big deal that's it's their birthday. if it's a great meal that you want then Le Cellier.

We havent gone for one of the kids birthdays yet but I would bet if you went to the 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi Drive-In they would come up with something fun for the kids! Especially if you tell them at the 50's

In December 2008 we celebrated son's 5th bday there. We told every restaurant it was his birthday. We had great brithday meals that week at Kona, Whispering Canyon, Plaza, & ESPN. We did Chef Mickey's for his official bday dinner. We also celebrated my nephew's 2nd bday at 1900 Park Fare and my husband's bday @ Le Cellier. All were really good and no bday disappointments.

He wore his bday pin the whole week. The first few days people would say Happy birthday and he would say it's not my birthday yet. It was very cute.

I would recommend Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge. Be sure to tell them it's a birthday dinner. Surely to be a lot of fun. Just ask for ketchup.:ROFLOL:

For teens and up, I would say Cali Grill! We ate there for my cousin's birthday about a year ago and she loved it! It was a great meal, and after the brought her the heavenly chocolate cake! After dinner we went out on the deck and watched Wishes! It was awesome!

These are children and I really feel that Chef Mickey's is the best choice and I will also second the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. Now those two places are of heck of a good time to have a birthday at.
