Last time I was at Epcot, I was watching Tapestry as usual. One puppeteer (hammer) eagerly walked up to me. He gestured for me to look up. I looked up just in time to see the puppet coming quickly towards my head! I fell on the ground (fearing for my life) in a fit of laughter as I was dive-bombed by the puppet. All of my friends, other guests, puppeteers, and cast members were laughing at me, and laughing even harder at my attempts to get up again!!!:o   :p ;)

I have no good experiences with parades. I guess I'm just not a parade-type person. I always found myself trying to wedge my way across the street through the MSEP to get to Splash Mountain. Not fun! :(

I'm not much of a parade watcher.......stuffed in next to hundreds of other ppl in 95 degree weather sweating from every inch of your body isnt my idea of fun.......I'd rather take advantage of the short lines.

You prolly wont consider this a parade, but the second time I was at WDW, me, and my group (mom dad 2 brothers and 1 cousin) were watchin Fantasmic, and I had already seen it so I was like yah I kno whats happening, but once my cousin saw it, her eyes like, bulged out and her mouth was open and it was like she was a little kid again (She's like, 21 or something. Once again I was youngest in everything!!! :()

Well, on my first trip to WDW this year, a guy kept running into the back of my ankles all the way up Main St as I attempted to leave as the parade was winding down... :(

But the first thing I did with Mr Fantasyland was watch the Electrical Parade, which brought back a lot of memories, and then he showed me the trick to taking advantage of the shorter lines during the parade... ;)

Tapestry

My fave moment at a parade, was following Tapestry of Nations towards its end, dancing, and singing the music to myself.... caught up in the moment, and happier than ever before!

I remember one year watching Spectromagic next to some weird guy who said "HEY, HOW YA DOIN' [so and so]?" to every character in the parade (even the ones without cast members in them!)

And the year before last while watching The Main Street Electrical Parade, a little girl got her glowing spinning thing stuck in poor Eeyore's hair. Of course, being a little kid, she thought that Eeyore was going to take her toy away. So getting the toy untangled was no easy task since we did not have the little girl's cooperation!

Getting spit on by a camel during the Aladdin parade at MGM back in the summer of 1993. (BTW, the last parade I have actually stood around to watch)

Watching one of my little guys struggle with a huge plastic ice cream in the Beauty and the Beast part of the MK parade he was so pleased with himself I'll remember his grin forever.:D

Disney Parades

I hate most of Disney's parades and shows; all they can build are rides LOL. The most memorible experience was one of my first days of trainning at the Magic Kingdom where I was forced to witness the Magical Moments (or lack there of) parade. I remember the song drove me nuts and I wanted to rid myself of the stench of the non talented performers.

I am sorry for this post but it is the truth and my only really negative one.

We had been to WDW twice with my daughter and she was terrified of all the characters - she was 1 and then 3 years old but in 1998 we went to DLP (she was then 4) - again she hated the characters, until the afternoon parade, when she saw Peter Pan. She fell in love at first sight. I will never forget her little face. From then on he has been "the boy of her dreams"! We have met him twice since in WDW and (thanks to FABULOUS CMs) he always remembers her! The one we met this year had a great memeory without being prompted by his minder - we met him on a Monday outside PotC, and he spotted her in the SpectroMagic parade 2 nights later and greeted her by name!
