What's the best month to cruise? I am a virgin cruiser and thinking about a possible 2013 cruise on DCL.

That's a little tricky! 
I like September because it's cheaper! But it is also prime hurricane season.
May is a great time. The weather is usually wonderful, and if you go in early May you can find some good deals.
To be honest, I've cruised in January, February, April, May, September and October and loved them all.

September and May would be my choice as it is warm and the prices are good. Prices are good during January and February as well but the weather can be a bit nippy for water based activities.

No cruise, but love Freeport Bahamas at the Radisson. Beaches and pools are great. Across the street are the restaurants and shopping at Lucaya Market Place. We just spent 7 wonderful days there this summer. People couldn't have been nicer and the conch salad at Daddy Brown's out of this world.
