Best MK Ride At Night

I would say that Splash Mountain is the best at night. Being able to look up at the stars from that first, slow, outside area is incredible. Of course that view of the castle from the top of the drop hill is the best.

Honorable mention to the WDW Railroad. You get some pretty cool views at night from the train.

Agree with all the posters about Thunder Mountain. Especially if there is (1) a full moon and (2) you just happen to time your ride with Wishes.

Dumbo, esp during Wishes. BTMRR, TTA, Mad Tea Party and the Carousel are all pretty magical at night. And even if it isn't an outdoor ride- HM is hands down my fave to ride at night.

Hey everybody. First time poster here. I just have to chime in for this one. My personal favorite at night is Splash Mountain but I've also gotta say my probably truly favorite thing overall about the MK at night is Main Street during extra magic hours. I just love the look of Main Street when it's kinda empty at night. It just gives you the feeling that for a split second that the MK is like "yours" or something. It's magical for sure.

I gotta say my new favorite at night is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Coming up through the mine and into the big drop and seeing all of Fantasyland illuminated is just plain beautiful.
Yeah on our May trip this year my wife went back over to BLT to pack and took our little girl and me and our little boy stayed over at MK for the complete EMH. He is 4 and it was his 5th WDW trip but this was his first time doing EMH since his grammy usually takes him back to go to bed so mommy and daddy can have some alone time. Well we were eating ice cream that we had just gotten and it was about 3 minutes to close and we sat down and all of a sudden he said "I wanna ride Snow White" and he had been afraid of it for the last couple of trips. So I said "Are you sure? We'll have to throw our ice cream away." and He said "Yeah". So we threw it away and went and got on it and it was just such a great moment for me and my little boy that I will never forget. Some may say that I wasted the ice cream but I say that I just traded it for something much sweeter. He had a blast and the MK is always beautiful at night but when a little kid is REALLY enjoying it it is even MORE beautiful.

Jungle cruise and Thunder mountain are both great at night but id lean towards JC.

Should of added a poll to the question OP

I will add to my first place vote of Splash Mountain that if you take the trek to the top of The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse that there are some wonderful photo ops of both Chick-a-pin hill as well as space mountain lit up. At night the treehouse is deserted by and large which leaves plenty of time to capture these views. Just a though I wanted to share...

I have to say, I've always found all theme parks at least slightly creepy after dark, and even though WDW is and will always be my favourite theme park, I still get that vibe a little bit in certain areas of MK, and one of them is definitely the HM area. The AA portions of SM are already kinda creepy during the day, so I can imagine riding at night would just add to the atmosphere of the ride.

I'm sure that there are quite a few rides/attractions at MK that have a completely different atmosphere/experience after dark them they do during the day. What are some of your favorite night time rides/attractions at MK? The one that pops into my mind right away is the TTA - getting great views of the lights of Tomorrowland, plus the great view of the illuminated castle you get right before the Progress City model.

Have to agree with this
