Where is a good shopping mall in the Orlando area? Looking for clothing so maybe a JCPenny. My DW accidently bleached all my shorts this weekend preping for our trip later this week. They just don't seem to have any summer apparel out in Northern NY.

If you're looking along the lines of JCPenney, Florida Mall is the way to go! It's HUGE. Millenia is a great mall, but a lot more higher end stores. Great for Christmas Shopping, not so much for every day needs... though DW begs to differ... :brick:

Speaking of malls, here's an idea for any mall owners or VPs at Victoria's Secret. Build a sports bar next door to your stores. Boyfriends and Husbands will be HAPPY to let their wives shop there all day.

There are also two large outlet malls for shopping. One is located at the end of I Drive down past Universal. The other is located near Disney right next to the Dixie Stampede.

I like the Florida Mall a lot too. Even though it is not a "mall" there's a great Super Target across from Millenia. And the Macy's at Millenia is GREAT.

My BFF usually tears me away from WDW for one day to shop at all the Local Malls and Outlets.

I kind of like Festival Bay at the end of I-Drive. I really like the quietness there. It is almost spooky... but the few stores that they have are great. I practically could live in Outdoor World.

I also like the Beall's department store, it's a small department store, but they tend to have a nice selection of clothing, especially men's and they are always having a sale. There is one next to the Walmart on Sandlake Road and one on 192.

Ikea

If you're into modern and cheap, check out IKEA near the Millenia Mall. It's way awesome and well worth the trip out there!!! Bring an extra suitcase though, you'll see tons of stuff to buy. It officially opens on Nov 14.

Does IKEA sell shorts? I thought they were a household store? I agree it is fun to shop there but if the OP was looking for clothing it is not the place to go!

I thought IKEA was only a furniture store...

I mean I live really close to the original and it's just furniture...Plus I get their catalog every year. Still no sign of clothes.

I wouldn't recommend the Premium or Prime outlets as the stores are all individual and mostly high end like Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren. If you want in/out, go to the Florida mall or Beall's both of which are right off Sandlake Road. And, if you are going to do this on your way from the airport, it's quite easy as you can get to it right off the BeeLine or Beachline whatever they are calling it these days.
