I like the mac and cheese that comes with the filet medallions at Boatwright's. It's got a good sharp flavor that pairs well with the tangy red wine reduction also served with the dish. It's actually pretty similar to the plate that used to be on the Jiko menu, but you don't have to feel bad about ordering something so "normal" at Boatwright's.

It's going to sound crazy...but I got a few bites of my girls' mac & cheese off the kids' menu at Cali Grill and it was yum. It reminded me of the mac & cheese my mom used to make mid winter...i.e. played in the snow all morning and come in exhausted and frozen to that bowl of cheesy creamy goodness. YUM!

The crab mac & cheese at Shula's is very good. I also enjoyed the mac & cheese at Jiko's, not sure if they still serve it however. My dear wife ordered the truffle mac & cheese at Yachtsman but I did not care for it. My son still loves the mac & cheese at the Liberty Tree Travern which is Souffer's. Boy was I a hero the first time I brought it home from the supper market and "nuked" it for him.

There was a contest awhile back and Jiko's was voted the best, I've never had it though.
I'm a mac 'n cheese lover and the one at Cape May was very good and of course the one from the LTT (Stouffer's) is a favorite since I've been eating that for years. :D

the macaroni de gratin at les chefs de France is one of my favorite dishes on property-definitely not traditional though.

Agreed.
Just don't overdo the cheese during your meal at France like I did. Flat bread with cheese, salad with cheese, French Onion soup with cheese. Ugh.

I can tell you that it isn't at Le Celier. However, the macaroni de gratin at les chefs de France is one of my favorite dishes on property-definitely not traditional though.
Le Cellier's Mac n cheese tastes like salt. A lot of stuff at Le Cellier tastes like salt. Not good.

I like the stuff in France, too, but it is totally different than typical Mac n cheese...and not my favorite thing on that menu.

Otherwise, it is pretty much the same everywhere I've had it (which isn't everywhere). And it is all too soggy, IMO.

I had the Steak and MAC n Cheese at Mama melroses over Labor day and it was FANTASMIC! THe charred steak sat right on top of the mac n cheese and was divine..Mama Melroses is now my Sit Down place to eat at DHS!

Not sure if you count downtown disney as on property, but the mac n cheese at wolfgang puck express is pretty good. My daughter loves it, its more of a European version than the classic US variety.

Good to know. We'll be there in December so I'll have to remember to suggest it to the kiddos.

Cape May Cafe. Hands down. Really freaking delicious.

Also good to know - we'll be eating at Cape May's on our upcoming trip as well!

DD4 has not met a kids mac & cheese on property that she didn't like!! One I actually remember her scarfing down is the one from the America pavilion at Epcot.
