Best location to view the "Wishes" fireworks in MK

Well, the title pretty much says it all!! I know the top of the contemporary resort is a good place but we want to be in the park.

This will be the first time that we see the fireworks.

We would usually leave Clearwater at 6am (she was an early bird anyway) and the latest we ever stayed was 7pm. My brother had flew in from Tennessee with his daughter to go to Disney with us. We wanted to stay for the fireworks but we were all about DEAD and my little one was so asleep it was like she was in a coma, lol! She wouldn't have enjoyed it and my neice was cranky too. Oh well....we are staying in Clearwater this time as well and driving in (we are leaving at 6 am) again but we won't have any problems staying awake this time. We are getting a room in Orlando so that we won't have to drive back to Clearwater.

Other than that one time we usually left around 4 or 5.

Nn main street anywhere between caseys and the back of the hub.

Ideally, smack in the middle of MSUSA between Caseys and the Ice Cream Parlor.

The Wishes show is designed to be viewed from in front of the Castle.

I recommend you do that before viewing it from anywhere else.

My favorite place is in the middle of Main St, just outside of Casey's Corner, or possibly even a little further away than that.

We've also viewed it from a Wishes cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon, that is also a great view, but I urge you to see it from Main St first.

I've also viewed Wishes from the path to Tomorrowland underneath the spot where Tinkerbelle flys over, as well as from Liberty Square - both are ok spots, but the view from Main St is still the best, IMHO.

We really like the view from the bridge to tomorrowland. You get a good view of the castle and TinkerBell practically flies right over top of you. MY daughter loves tinkerbell so this is the place for us.
Another big plus is you don't have to camp out an hour before the fireworks for a good spot, maybe 10 minutes before the start and you'll be ok.

I think those are your two best options there. As I have seen many of Dave's photo's, I will not argue with his view suggestions.

While not as ideal a fireworks visual, the suggestion about the Tomorrowland bridge for Tinker Bell is also a good one.

Whether music is piped in or not, I think a lot is lost from Wishes from Contemporary, Poly or GF.

A third option to consider would be the upper deck of the Main Street train station.

It doesnt have the same visual effet, but we watched it from just in fron of Ariel's Gratto eating ice cream. Thw fire works are right over your head, you just have to keep turning from side to side. But we also have joined the Tomarrow Land Bridge crowd the last few times.

1st. Top floor outside the California Grill, Contemporay Resort.

2nd. The bridge to/from tomorowland is second best.

3rd. From the train Station, the view is made much better now that they removed a couple of trees.

:sohappy:Absolutely correct on both accounts. We view from the same area for the same great reasons.

While viewing Wishes from the observation deck of the Contemporary is an amazing experience, nothing beats viewing it from the beginning of Main Street, you are still surrounded by the music and you have a beautiful view of the fireworks. We use to love watching from the hub but you just miss so much of the fireworks from there IMHO.

Is it really that great? I will be eating there during Wishes on my upcoming trip but I always figured that it was too far away to get the full effect. Hope I'm wrong though.

My fav place (so far) to view Wishes is from the central hub but towards tomorrow land rather than bang in the middle.

Now, what i would not recommend would be watching them from Florida's turnpike or 429 as you are trying to drive :D

Seriously, I've seen this show from most everywhere conceivable, including BTMRR, which rocked. There really isn't a bad spot to see the show, aside from the aforementioned highways.

Definitely anywhere you feel comfy with your party infront of the castle is a great place to see 'em. Well... not IMMEDIATELY infront of the castle, but you get the idea. I sort of tend to stray towards the railings on the left side. As long as I can hear the narration and see the 'splosions it's always looked great.

Something really cool is if you go to the noodle place next to tomorrowland (I forget what it's called) and sit right at one of the balconies at water's edge, you get to see tinkerbell come AAAAAAAAAAAALL the way down from the tower. Gets really close.

That's a cool novelty, but everything else sort of isn't that great, since that area can get pretty crowded with people hogging tables and somtimes they can be sorta mean, steal chairs, et cetera... but hey, I did that during peak season so maybe it was just hysteria. And the lights stay on. And you can't hear the music as loud.

Ok, so maybe you should do it once to see tinkerbell and move on. Ay caramba...

The "X"...?

I know about the "Y" but where's the "X" ?

Don't know exactly what the "y" is that you're talking about....

But a season CM friend of ours swears by it, and now so do we....

MSUSA, directly between Casey's and the Ice Cream Parlor...where the tracks in the road split making the "X"....

Two places I really enjoy.

ONE: The Noodle Station. Grab a seat along the edge early and its a great view.

SECOND: From the new Fowlers Grove Shopping area off of SR 429. I was over there for dinner a few weeks ago and saw the entire Wishes show without music. I didn't realize how close it was.

Anywhere is good...Just make sure you're behind the statue in the center of the hub....if you're somewhere between the statue and the castle the castle blocks alot of the lower fireworks during the first half of the show. We usually watch it from the X or on the Tomorrowland Bridge also!

I have seen it from the Main Street train station, I was sitting just past the flagpole, and though the lights don't dim a great deal in the area I was sitting, the music was nice and clear. It was great!
