Best hotel pool for toddlers?

We will only be staying one or two nights and just spending one day at MK before we fly back to Chicago. The hotel may be our only opportunity to take DS (he will be 17 months) swimming while down in FL. Any good hotel pools with zero depth entry or spray areas?

Pop Century is great for this. We took our first trip with our older son when he was just over two. They have a Goofy splash Pad (rubberized floor with sprays that shoot up randomly)--he had the best time!!!! Loved it and it's great for little guys that may not be quite as steady on their feet. There is also a kiddie pool that is very shallow and had a fountain in the middle. He loved that too, but really, the splash pad was the real winner. We could barely pry him out of that thing.

Depending on which resort catagory you are staying at there are areas at each resort pool for toddlers. The zero depth pools can be found at some of the deluxe resorts only at this time.

Animal Kingdom Lodge pool
The Grand Floridian "Beach"pool
The Polynesian
The Yacht and Beach Club ( they offer a wading area section of the main pool)

Thanks! It looks like Pop Century fits most of our needs. Do you know if they have adjacent rooms? That's my only concern b/c of bedtime. We will be there with my ILs that night as well and DS goes to bed around 8 or 9 EST and then what do we do? He's OK with noise, but not sure about noise and lights being compatible with him going to bed.

Yes they do offer them and you must ask for connecting rooms with Disney reservations.

Well it looks like they don't allow late check out which totally defeats the purpose of looking for a pool if we have to leave that early. How frustrating! :brick: Our flight isn't until 4:35 the next day so we definitely don't want to check out of our hotel at 11:00 with a toddler, the people on our flight would not be too happy with us!

They do allow late check out but you have to request it when you get to the hotel. This is what I did when I stayed there but I think it may be 12-1 at the latest. Keep in mind that if you are using Magical express that they will pick you up approx. 3 hours prior to your flight time so it may still work for you.

You could check out of the hotel, store your luggage, but still use the pool for a while. Then before you go, change into dry clothes, dry your swimsuits in the dryers, pick up your bags and head out.

You are correct. We've stayed at resorts in all categories and when our kids were small we stayed at AKL and the zero entry is SWEET. But, the other pools are fine. Just a little less convenient. I remember areas at the values where you could play in water play areas with jets and fountains and the like.

AND Pop has a really nice bathroom/ shower area right next to the 60's pool. You could even shower before you left for the airport.

As far as connecting rooms go, I'd say go for it. Our kids always went to be at 7ish when they were that age and we'd always put them in the connecting room so they could have darkness and quiet and SLEEP while we watched a little TV or read before bed. Hope you find all the right pieces to have a wonderful trip!
