We enjoyed a week at the YC, on the Concierge Level, for our honeymoon. It was very enjoyable and peaceful. Of course, it was also the second week of October, so it wasn't very busy either....:)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and remember a honeymoon at WDW, regardless of where you stay, is amazing!
Thank you:wave: We had our first trip together to DLRP, so WDW was clearly high up on our honeymoon list:animwink:

Looking at the prices for next summer (hoping they don't go up too much for 2012), I think a moderate would be a good choice for us:animwink: We'll probably land on POFQ, because so many recomend it, and we like the pictures we've seen, but the idea of taking a couple of nights at a different hotel, is one I'll take in to consideration!

I have to say, half of the fun is in the planning:lol:

Definitely stay away from the Values if romance is something you're looking for in your honeymoon...and I'd like to think romance is something you WOULD look for in your honeymoon. They're adequate lodging, but not meant for couples in love.

POFQ would probably be your best bet for a "romantic" resort in the moderate category. I'm a big fan of Port Orleans Riverside, and the large grounds are great for long walks. But I know that, since the pool at Riverside is one of the best on property (Especially at that price range), it attracts more families. Besides, at the end of the night, when you're running to get back to the room, you don't want it to be a long run, do you? :D That's why I'm thinking POFQ may be the better bet, it's not as spread out...

But then again, the Riverside DOES have romantic carriage rides...

Hmmm...
I'll tack on to either POFO or PO Riverside. Riverside has a nice TS and quiet pools. You can't go wrong with either choice.

Steve has me thinking about Dophin or Swan although you can't do the Disney Dining. Do you get Extra Magic hours?

We stayed at PO Riverside this past July on our honeymoon. It was wonderful (I had only stayed at All Star Movies before that on a previous trip).. They gave us a riverview mansion room right near the island for free (we hadnt paid for riverview) cuz it was our honeymoon.. seeing the river and everything was very romantic. It was terrific.

I believe Dolphin and Swan do get extra magic hours, the only real downside from my understanding is you can't get a room key card to charge everything to as you can at the true WDW hotels

My suggestion is DAKL. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. Jiko is AMAZING! The pool is very cool and all the hot tubs are secluded and offer a lot of privacy. You can get a standard view, pool view, or savannah view room. Their is a concierge option as well. The management and cast are AMAZING and go far above and beyond.

As for a moderate, I would vote POFQ or CSR.
