Best hotel for budget - POR, CS or CBR?

Well I just wanted to get everyone's opinions on something. My budget at the moment can only run to something like Port Orleans, Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach resort, so I was wondering...

Which is the best? Do any of these have view of any theme park land marks, and how easy is it to get to downtown disney from here?

If you want Downtown Disney access, POR is your best bet. Great boat service to and from.

CS and CBR give you views of Spaceship Earth.

CBR has just reopened its compeltely new pool area.

CS has a new nightclub.

All great resorts!

So is Riverside better than French Quarter? The only thing about the rooms are that they looks awfully old fashioned (and i know that's the theme) but maybe it's the photos that i've been looking at.

POR is my favorite wdw resort!!! I have stayed at CSR and CBR, and after staying at POR last year, I really don't want to go back to the other two. I loved POR so much, that I was so curious to see what FQ was like so this year we booked POFQ...I'm sure its just as great! The bus transport to DTD is awesome and a great way to get away from the busses during your trip...so relaxing. You will not be disappointed with POR if that is what you go with. I cannot tell anyone enough how much this resort really impressed me, and all the things I loved about it.

Don't know which pics you saw, but POR has 2 sides, Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. The MB side is much different from the AB side.

from allears:

Magnolia Bend is themed as four 2- and 3-story mansion homes, reflecting the large plantation residences in Mississippi many decades ago. Here you'll find well kept lawns, wrought iron railings and trellises, crawling roses and an elegant motif. At any time you'd expect to see the Colonel and his wife greet you on the main lawn waiting to invite you in.

Another important feature to note about the mansions is the fact that you must cross the Sassagoula River bridges to get to the food court, gift shop and other main building features.

Alligator Bayou lodges are a more rustic, backwoods cottage setting, featuring 16 smaller two-story Cajun-style buildings with charmingly rustic wooden furniture and settings. In addition, the rooms in Alligator Bayou contain a trundle bed that will sleep a child bringing the room occupancy total to 5. The Trundle Bed is intended to accommodate children under 9; or persons under 5 feet tall. They are narrower than a conventional bed.

That is what we thought about POR rooms, even alligator bayou rooms from the pics that we saw before we went last year. We got to our room and the pictures really don't do these rooms any justice...I thought they were adorable, clean, and cozy.

I'm actually a bigger fan of POFQ. POR just seems too big and spead out, while POFQ is smaller and more intimate. BTW, we used POFQ as one of the hotels for our wedding and everyone loved it.

Yep POFQ is very intimate and has a lot of charm. I frequently change my mind as to which is my preferred. I think they are both great choices.

It was the pics on allears.net.

I think i'm leaning toward POR to be honest. Do you know which building looks over the river or is it both?
