That's mostly true. Except for September. September really sucked...

 :) Sorry, I meant on the local news on more than one occasion when they were asked if 9/11 had been seriously affecting attendance for HHN and if it had been toned down at all as a result of 9/11.

no... that would be a lot of walking.. lol. I suggest start with Max Carnage, and work your way across the park to Screamhouse.

BTW, I haven’t seen this mentioned yet: How is Bill and Ted’s this year? :)

well lets see... there's a striptease in it... so it's not that bad. On the other side though, it's also not that great. It's an OK year for it.

I'm basing this on the idea that there won't be time to do all the houses. We won't be doing any of the rides unless some are totally walk-ons (not likely) but Bill and Ted's is a given and with that in mind and only 7-7.5 hours in the park, I don't see how we could even do four houses with 2-2.5 hour waits. :) BTW, if you don't mind answering yet another of my questions. Have the gaits still been opening early and if so, is there still an advantage in terms of lines to getting there early?

hmm.. with this in mind, here's my new game plan.

First thing- Maximum Carnage..

second thing- Screamhouse

third thing- Bill and Ted

then go and soak up the atmosphere

as for opening it early, they've been opening the gate approx 45 minutes earlier than posted the first few days, but I don't know if this is a permanent change or what

Oh Rob, I like the advice you are giving on the order to do the park... starting at Carnage and ending at ScreamHouse.

Save the best for last as I always say ;).

true, then start with Screamhouse, and finish with Max Carnage... after all, Jeff said it best :p No need you should see the best first and then get dissappointed by the rest

Fine... it's a tie. That's why they put all the crap houses in the back of the park.

(We'll finish this debate closer to the end of the season... :fork: )

 Seriously you two, is Fear Factor the most missable? I mean, if the place is packed and I'm going to miss one, is that the one I should skip? If so, which would be your pick for the second to be skipped? :)

The only two I have heard bad things about are Fear Factor and Scary Tales II. I heard that capacity for Scary Tales is just as bad considering the paths are as wide as a standard queque line. I guess that would be the best information.

The only house I have been through is mine so I don't have much personal info.

I am sorry Rob, I went through Carnage yesterday and I was not impressed. I really don't think it lived up to the hype. I was disappointed really. Now I know why ScreamHouse was voted best last week with the exit polls...

And you were right, your costume is the cheapest thing in costuming...

You know why it sucked??? Cause I wasn't there then!!! LOL. I got clocked in the face by some drunk idiot and was sent home. We have the most drama of any house apparently- today 3 people had seizures in the house... within 10 minutes of each other (all are OK!)

I went through the first shift on Friday, right when the house opened. You got clocked really early if that wasn't who dropped the bone behind your little barrel hiding spot.

Our house is doing good on the injuries... none so far.

AND I LIKED FEAR FACTOR!!!

I thought it was a good house.

Of course I didn't wait any to go through it, that might have helped my opinion.

After seeing all of the houses this weekend, I've got to put my vote in for Scream House. It is totally awesome and has a TON of detail in it. But with that said, I do have say that I was truly ed off with the lack of lighting in SH. There were several instances where I thought I was walking around in a hall with mere black walls only to have the strobes kick in for a second to show off a burned garden, a foyer, body bags, etc. It never failed to take my breath away, but I was saddened that so much work would stay hidden for the most part.

Maximum Carnage was also very, very good. Lots of detail, cool costumes. Unfortunately, I bashed the holy hell out of my nose on a wall mid-way though (hey Rob, if you heard lots of "g*^damns" interlaced with "f&%s" around 6:30 that was me) and saw stars (or was it strobes) for a good portion of it.

Evilution was cool as hell. Not much else to say.

Scary Tales II wasn't that great, at least compared to the other big three. It was too damned hot and not very well thought out at all.

And then there was Fear Factor. Yes, it sucked. It was on the level of something Busch Gardens would pull. But hey, just seeing the idiots in front of me get scared s**tless made it all worth it.

Bill and Teds was funny for what it was... I'm being kind here.

Not Neccesarily Sinbad was funny as hell! I was utterly shocked at how strong many of the jokes were, but I was just as utterly amused. They're definitely going to ________ off a lot of people though.

Kabob: "Why don't you sit down, shut the hell up, and start acting like a real man?"

The scare zones, actors, and islands were all exceptionally done. Very first rate work. I was also VERY delighted to see that with very few exceptions NONE of the elements were present during IOA's regular operating hours to disturb the theming. On a side note, the guy in Dueling Dragons absolutely scared the living hell out of me.

Crowds were also not a problem on Friday. In fact, there were times that I had the scare actors outnumbering me in JP. I loved it!

All in all, considering it was their first year, I give it a 10 out of 10. There are things that can be done differently, and for all I know they will before the end of the event, but I was truly blown away this year. Great job people!
