Best Fast Eatery

Which places have the best eateries where you can basically run in, get what you want, and be on your way again as far as the resorts are concerned? For example, the Roaring Forks (at Wilderness Lodge) is the type of place I mean. It's not a sit-down and order type place, you pretty much walk through the line, pick out what you want, pay, sit, eat, and you're back out the door again. I liked Roaring Forks a lot, but how do other places compare?

Two of my favarites are The Food and Fun Center (in the Contemporary). They have great deli sandwiches and chicken fingers in you are in a hurry. Secondly I like Captain Hook's Snack Company (in the Polynesian). If you go their order the Hawaiian Chicken sandwiches its their speciality.:king:

Roaring Forks is wonderful! I love the place at CR too. I didn't care for Mara at AK or Captain Hooks. I still feel ill when I think about a sandwich I got at Mara.

Hurricane Hanna's at the Y&B Club seems to be fairly quick if you want nachos, a hamburger, etc.... It's out doors though...

Cosmic Rays!! There fixins bar is great. I also like Columbia Harbour House for their Fish and Chips.

This is my type of thread, I only eat at the fast snack counter service places.

I love all of them.

My favorite and most visited is Captain Cooks at the Polynesian.

I think one of the best counter service restaurants is The Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square, Magic Kingdom. They have an awesome chili bread bowl, and the chicken strips basket is to die for!

Count me in for another vote for Captain Cook's at the Poly. It's become somewhat traditional for my friends and I to eat there outside during a thunderstorm.

Captain Cooks at the Poly, and Dixie Landings food court,the cotton mill, when all the booths are open the choice is pretty hard to beat.

Fast food at Epcot

Not a hamburger fan, so I go for the fast food counters at China and Japan first. Occasionally can't resist the Fish & Chips stand at U.K. In Future World, "nutritious fast food" is available at Wonders Of Life and (to a lesser extent) the Land (downstairs).

I'm in the boat with Lance. I only eat at the fast-food places when I'm at WDW unless I have a lengthy pass (like 5 or 6 days). Of course, I'll only be a teenager for so long so I guess I have to enjoy the metabloism while I've got it!

As for the actual places I go... I like to hit Cosmic Ray's and listen to the AA band, or if I'm at Epcot I'll go to Electric Umbrella (assuming the lines aren't too long!). I'd also just as soon grab one of those turkey legs!

In Epcot we always eat Lunch at the land for some reason. It is kind of like tradition. We have been doing it for the past 15 years.

Yup, Cosmic Ray's for MK, Electric Umbrella in Epcot and the Backlot Express in MGM.

The original question for this thread was in regard to the best fast eatery in the RESORTS, not the parks. I wasn't asking about Epcot, so which fast spots are the best in the resorts, do you think?

Just a reminder, this thread is about the best fast eateries in the resorts, not the parks. Cosmic Ray's, Electric Umbrella, and Backlot Express are irrelevant to the original question. Which spot at the resorts is the best overall fast eatery?

You know, I do that a lot. Answer the wrong question.

Some ones you may/may not have tried...

Dixie Landings (called the "Colonel's Cottom Mill" or something like that). The red beans & rice are good... or you can get a chicken sandwich, burger, pizza, or (I think) ribs. What I really enjoy about that place is the theming... very rustic; it's like you're in a working mill. Plenty of water views outside.

Coronado Springs has a lot of options.. freshly made burritos, grilled fish, stir-fry, and much more at the "Pepper Market". It's very good food in a nice atmosphere... prices a little higher than other areas.

DAK Lodge has a QSR near the pool. Also upscale, with good food and of course you can't beat the themeing for that location.

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club, for burgers (single, double, triple), shakes and fries. Stroll on over from Epcot. Stroll on back to walk off a few of those cals.

Quiet (most times) little lounge with booths and tables next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse... where you can grab an excellent burger in a wood-paneled, comfortable location.

If we can venture a little from 'resorts' per se, Wolfgang Puck's fast food outlet at Downtown Disney West Side (and Marketplace) is a good quick stop... again, upscale, California Contemporary offerings.

i liked Cosmic Ray's. i usually dont eat burgers, but this one was very good, i love the fries! but mostly i loved the talking trash can!

Unless Cosmic Ray's has somehow been moved to one of the resorts, mentioning it in this thread doesn't apply.
