What is you best experience with a CM at the HM or TOT? What did they do to make the ride extra spooky or special?

I have run across some very good CM's at HM. What I try and do is get them to crack a smile or something to break them out of character. One female CM was so good she would just stare me down and I think she actually flared her nostrils. Never once broke out of her character.

I didn´t see this thread before and I posted the following somewhere else....so here goes again!
I went to Mickey´s Halloween party in 1999, and there was a CM by the gate of Haunted Mansion when my bf and me entered the queue, and I didn´t notice the guy followed me to under the terrace and put his face next to mine in silence, so when I looked to the side saw him looking at me very serious. Needless to say I screamed the loudest ever and everybody turned to the back of the queue to see this frightened woman shaking and laughing and the CM running away back to the gate! It was so much fun!

When I was in the HM a few weeks ago, I was wearing my blue graduation cap with the Mickey Mouse ears that I got in the Disney Store, and one of the CM's said that she liked my hat - I guess I really didn't see that one coming, lol!

That sounds like my friend Zach. He does that to me all the time. He now goes by the name Zacula.

Singe I know most of the CMs at Haunted Mansion, we love to goof off. As my friend Teresa says, "Somehow you just keep on living." Once my friend Jason and I were goofing off in the stretching room 
eek: ) during his spiel. It ended up something like this:
"Now pile your wretched bodies THERE!"
"Where?"
"In the dead center of the room...."

I met him a couple of months ago at HM. All of a sudden, he disappeared. (HM cast members are good at that) A few weeks later, I found out he was working at Jungle Cruise. A couple of weeks ago, I was happy to see him back at the Mansion.
Yeah he was working JC the same day I was there, we had lightning hit the jungle!

I think some of the best CM's are the one's on the Jungle Cruise. It was so funny when they had guns and I remember one CM let a little girl drive the boat and you could just see the excitment comming out of her ears! Although, I think that the Characters need some credit. That's alot of hard work.

I've got a good one! I was wearing a necklace with a name tag that had my name and said that we were with the Oldsmobile golf tour(my step dad works for Oldsmobile) as I was walking in the entrance to the HM the CM looks at me goolishly and says hellooo Josh in a grimvoice and I just stood there for a second trying to figure out how he knew my name Then i remembered the name tag.
Another time on my most recent trip the CM was making a comment to a little boy that the ride wasnt scary and then I asked her if it was scary and she looked at me with this deathly stare and didnt say anything......the rest of the time in the stretching room while she was doing her speil she was staring at me the whole time (so i hid behind my mom) pffff she didnt scare me!
I love playing around with the HM CM's theyre the best! Espescially the guy that stands outsode the front gat talking to the spirits........you can stand there for hours talking to him and his invisible friends.

I was standing right in front to the doors to the library in TOT and all of a sudden they swung open. The Bellhop stuck his head out and was giving me the evil stare three inches from my face. I wasn't ready for that and I let out a little scream (and I am NOT the screaming type). Everybody in line laughed at me. He kept staring at me during the whole preshow.

It was late at night and thats when ( in my opinion) the CMs are the funniest. This old guy that took us into the library was so into his character it was spooky. Then when we got into the elavator to ride. A diffrent CM checked are safety bars; and walked out of the elavator. He then SLAMED that stupid gate thing . Scaring all of us. Then he quickly hit the elavator w/ his foot saying its been coming loose from the track.. Then a diffrent CM said loudly to our BELL HOP/ CM " DID U GET IT FIXED YET ?"
Our bell hop/CM " NO NOT YET WERE STILL HAVING TROUBLE ..... ILL SEND EM ANYWAYZZ.
Then he pushed that magic green button and we were off.
Jungle Cruise-
One night when we were at the magic kingdom. It was really late and the park closed in like 45 min lol ..So we decided to go on the J.C. ; and keep riding cause there was no line. These little kids were sitting near the CM. The CM let some little kid drive and wear the CM's hat lol, Then the kid's 3 brothers were fighting over the wheel too and we were all laughing . The CM was trying to get them away from the wheel before we were back at the dock but he did.
That was fun. He was an Australian; that was neat.

CEO, your jungle cruise story reminds me of another CM experience. My friend and I were boarding the steam boat at magic kingdom and we were snooping around in the captains quarters and the captain walked in..........we thought we were dead for sure, but instead he invited us up to "steer" the boat. That thing drives like its on rails. When we were at the far end of Tom Sawyer Island the train was passing and he had me pull the whistle rope 3 times and the train finished it off with the rest of jingle bells.......it was cool.

I really dont talk to the cast members much since I am only 14 years old but this year while visiting WDW i was asked to take part in a survey and the CM who surveyd me was Carriaban. He asked me what me what my favorite rides where in the MK and I said... Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and Pirates of the Carriaban. Then he said something really dumb "I am from the carriban but I am not a pirate" Also another time was I went to the haunted mansion and I asked the guy by the gate how things were going and he said things were dead. It was so funny

I probly said this before but I went to the Magic Kingdom for E-Ticket nights. I decided to stop by the Haunted Mansion. When I got there a family was waiting outside to get in. A boy went up to the door (must have been his first time) and knocked on the door. As soon as he backed off, the doorman slammed open the door and yelled, "I told you, we don't want any more Girl Scout Cookies!" and slammed the door shut. VERY funny.
