Best Disneyland web sites?

This site is great for WDW, but what are your suggestions as best for Disneyland web sites? We are planning our first trip there next June and want to look at some additional sites that might be your favorites.

Mouse Info is a good one. It's like WDW Magic but for Disneyland. They also have sections on the discussion board for WDW, DLP and excellent TDL info.
Laughing Place and Mouse Planet cover both parks for news.

MI is a good site for news, although I don't much care for the folks on the boards.

MousePlanet is good for photo updates, but beware of their news. They tend to "sensationalize" things.

I don't mind the people on the Boards at MI, The Web Master Michael is a good guy. But the Moderators?!? Don't get me started on the Moderators. Like a police state over there. And talk about self important.

Agreed about MP. The Web Master from that site hangs out here at WDWMagic sometimes as well.

Well, we don't really have a "webmaster" per se. We have lots of writers, we have a copy editing staff, we have a publisher, we have a technical staff, but no one person could probably be considered "webmaster."

And yes, I do hang out here when I get the chance, though I'm the WDW content coordinator. The Disneyland Resort coordinator probably doesn't even know that this place exists. (Though she will be at MouseFest with the rest of us.) Another WDW specialist, Mike Scopa, drops by here occasionally, as well.

And as for sensationalizing things, I don't really think that we go that far. Could you cite anything specific? I'm curious as to how we're misrepresenting things. (We are, in fact, nominated for an Online Journalism Award for our coverage of the Big Thunder Mountain tragedy.) I'd appreciate any insight that you could give us on how to improve our coverage.

The first thing that comes to mind is that incident with the girl on the roof of the Grand Californian. While it was dramatic, yes, I got the impression there was a lot of information being left out - made it feel very one-sided. I don't even recall an attempt to say "We don't know all the details, but this is what we think happened." Just my two cents there.

I'd find the exact page, unfortunately I can only ever visit MP with a direct link to a sub page anymore, as the main page crashes Firefox.

I will add http://www.visionsfantastic.com to the list of Disney sites. No sensational news, just a focus on the parks and rides. Great info, awesome multimedia. There is a discussion board, a trip report section, Disney Radio via Live365, and a photo gallery.

Hmmm...

I remember a lot of editorial debate after we ran that one. Can't remember the outcome. I'm pretty sure that most of the DLR staff were involved in it, and a Security CM on our discussion boards took part, as well. I think even David Koenig got involved, but my memory's hazy.

And I'm surprised that the main page crashes your version of Firefox. I'm running Firefox also, and I'm not having any problems. Are you running 1.0PR, or an earlier version? If we're not loading correctly, we'll need to fix that.

I actually just got a new computer and just loaded 1.0PR today, and it seems to work fine now. :) For 9.x, though, it crashes.

Thanks for the info. I'll pass along to our tech staff that Firefox 0.9 is having problems with the site, and see if they can do anything about it.

Laughing Place is a good site for info. And VF is great for understanding the layout of DL, and watching the ride videos to see if you realllllly want to wait that long for the ride.
