We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge... it was astonishingly beautiful with all wood furniture hand-carved and a great indoor fire pit. The pool is nice too. We also loved Ft Wilderness Resort & Campground. The Cabin was the coziest and the whole resort is beautiful. We stayed at a couple other resorts but these 2 by far were the best. What resorts are the best in your opinion???

I am partial to The Polynesian and The Beach Club. I will be staying at The Animal Kingdom Lodge in May and from all I have heard it might become my favorite resort.

The Contemporary is nice if your on the go. Nicely located to all the transporation.

We had our honeymoon at the Poly, and we loved that. Nicely themed. You can see the MK fireworks while sitting on a beach with a drink.:p

We have visited the Wilderness lodge for a dinner, and I liked that place too, but we never stayed there.

But by far, we love AKL the best. Can't beat the theming there. We spent more time at the resort that we normally would have if we stayed anywhere else. It's like the othr places were a really nice place to lay your head, but AKL is wonderful to visit without even going to the parks themselves. (We still went to the parks though... )

Fort Wilderness all the way.

Of course, that is probaly because out of the 15 times I have been to WDW with my family we stayed there everytime. But I love it mainly because you take your home with you. You don;t always have to go out to eat, you can bring other things to do, plus Ft. Wilderness offers so many great activities as well.

To me my favorite resorts to stay at is Riverside(or as I always knew it as Dixie Landings) and Wilderness Lodge. Riverside just makes me feel nice and relaxed, the setting is just beautiful. And then with Wilderness Lodge, it makes me think of home because of beautiful log cabins. Its a perfect trade mark of a Wisconsin Winter vacation in the northern part for fishing and snowmobiling. But anyplace at Disney is magical. If I had it my way every hotel in the US would be Disney. The themes are just so neat to see.

To all those who have stayed at AKL, do you have any pictures of it that you could put up, or know where I could see some good pictures of it. I unfortunatley didn't get over to see that hotel on this last trip I took. I have thought about staying there in the future. Thanks in advance.

I must say it is one of the most beautiful hotels! I am stuck between that one & Wilderness Lodge Cabins. Although theyre 2 different kinds of resorts. Sorry I have no pics to share. If you go to the Disney website and go to Resorts you should be able to see some pics of AKL when you click on it there should be an option to see pics of it.

To jcmayid, thanks for your help. The resort does look very beautiful, it makes me miss being down there. It reminds me very much of how Wilderness Lodge is set up, would that be true?
Once again thanks for the help.

TDMickey, It has very slight similarities, if you can see them. But I think it is highly superior. Definitely make it there on your next stay, even if it is just to pas by and look for a coupleof hours.

The Yacht Club was simply amazing. The ease in getting to EPCOT and over to the Boardwalk was definitely a huge bonus. Also the sandbottom pool and waterslide was something else to see. Definitely on the pricey side, however, well worth it.

Both the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge were designed by the same archetect. That's why they look so similar.
