Okay, down and dirty, who has the best castle? My vote goes to WDW. Not that the others are bad, i'm just always more wowed by WDW's than the others. It's always been my favorite, and it always will be. ^^ It looks the most like it was pulled straight out of a fairy tale and you'd swear it was truly magical some how. :D
Didn't know where else to post this and I didn't include Tokyos or Hong Kongs because they look exactly like Disneylands and WDW.

Disneyland Paris Castle is the best even though WDW was my first castle. DLP Castle pure fantasy and has caves under it with a dragon, waterfalls, secret entrance to the magic shop and fantastic stained glass windows and more detail than any other Disney castle. The only fault I find is not having a restaurant in it. The "Castle Stage" is off to the right and doesn't close the castle when there is a show.

The WDW castle is beautiful in a real castle way but the stage ruins the entrance and looks tacky. I hate the way they close the castle for every castle event. It's also kind of a one hallway castle straight through that's it. No caves or tunnels. The restaurant is a plus. I wish they would use Walt's apartment space for something to plus up the castle. I like the way the castle sits high above the moat.

The Disneyland castle is OK for a 1955 effort but there isn't mch to it except sentimentality.

I have only seen one up close that is the WDW one. Tokyo from what I understand has the same castle. Paris has the most imaginative castle especially with the fiber optics at night. Disneyland, look I can squish it with my fingers :D

Why isn't Tokyo's castle listed as one to vote for? I mean it has a ridiculously incredible unique attraction in it so I think that should count for somethin.

Paris is the best by the way

I have to give it to Cinderella Castle just becuase I think it caps Main St. so nicely. DLP's is awesome; it is just more whimsical (by design), so that takes the impressiveness down just a tiny bit for me. It is a cool piece of architecture. DL's is classic. It is simply small. However, the dioramas of Sleeping Beauty are pretty darn cool (or at least were).

If you look at my first post, I said that I didn't include Tokyos or Hong Kongs because they look exactly like WDW's and Disneyland's

I was just sayin it was unfair to disclude Tokyo because it is quite unique and different from the WDW version even though it looks quite similar.

On the other hand, yes HK and DL's are identical

For me, there are actually two answers (ok, so one is to a question not asked):

What do I think is the "best" (most imaginative, impressive, etc.)? I'd have to hand that to Disneyland Paris.

What do I think would look the best at the end of Main Street USA? No doubt, Cinderella's.

I do not suffer from castle envy.

I think a lot of us are a little biased on this one. I would LOVE to see the DLP castle in person. The arcitecture on it seems beautiful. I don't know why, it always seems like it's fake when I see pictures of it.
I also love the colors of the original in DL. There's something extra magical about it since it was the first.
But of course, I think ours :)lol: I write "ours" like it belongs personally to us) is the most beautiful. I could stare at it all day!

WDW, while i like Paris, Floridas castle just demands your attention. It is a real centre pice, not just to main street, but to the whole park.

BTW just come back from DLRP, and was not impressed, while the park may look like a disney park, its a far cry from feeling like one.

I have never seen the DLP castle but it sure looks great.
How can something "look great" if you've never "seen" it

(I know what you mean - just joking)

Cinderella's Castle gets my vote

Can you elaborate on the secret entrance? How secret it is? Is it a flipping bookshelf wall type of secret entrance?

I must say my favorite castle is Cinderella's castle at WDW. However I had the most incredible feeling when I walked through the castle at DL because I knew Walt walked there. That was simply magical.

I can only imagine what that must feel like!

I've only seen WDW's castle, so I am biased. I would just like to add that, since the hub renovation, the castle looks even more awesome. It is just so much more of a presence at the end of Main Street. I loved the original hub and was leery of the renovation, but I should not have worried. It is better than ever! :sohappy:
