I'm going to WDW soon and I want to buy a few candies and snacks from Mitsukoshi store in Japan at Epcot but I'm not sure what exactly to buy. I definitely like sweets, also salty treats and I'm not really afraid of experimenting and seeing what I can find so I wanted to know what you guys recommend when it comes to candy and snacks from the store. (If you guys could show pics/links along with the name that would be great.) Thank you!

My favorite store and some of my favorite treats! I've been to Japan several times and love going to the Mitsukoshi store in Japan to get these treats stateside!
Ok, now for the treats. My favorites are Chocolate Koala March cookies, as you can see here:

And Green Tea Kit Kats.

I have to agree with these cookies though I have found there competitors version (Pandas) at Target and my local Asian Market.

Other Treats I like:

Gummies - large variety of fruit flavors (my favorites are the Kiwi and Lychee)
Hana Awaka - Sake from the bar near the registers
Pocky - little cookie sticks covered in chocolate, strawberry and vanilla cream
Ramune - Soft drinks (come in a bunch of flavors)
Rice candy (childhood favorite)

I always get Pocky for something sweet and shrimp chips for something salty, thought you might be able to get both of these in your grocery store if it has a good international section.

I used to love the rice candy as a kid. Now not so much, it is still good but as I have to limit my sugar intake I tend to go for chocolate stuff for my candy.

This last trip I picked up marshmallows with a mango jelly center. They also had pineapple. They were pretty yummy. I plan on getting both flavors next trip.

Oh so far you have me convinced on Pocky, I might get chocolate and strawberry flavor. Also green tea Kit Kats, wow those look nice! I saw an article about the mochi, it looks delicious and I just wish I had enough money to buy one of everything haha. I might even try the rice candy, seems like it's a favorite!

We bought a bunch on our last trip. Here are our favorites:
Pocky (all flavors), Green Tea Kit Kats, Milky, Grape Cotton Candy with pop rocks, Tohato Caramel Corn, Peach Gummy Candy, Chocolate with Strawberry chocolate lollipops, and the potato sticks.
We didn't like the Hello Kitty Strawberry Marshmallows, the strawberry mochi and the rice crackers.

It was so much fun trying out everything!

What is the rice candy? Is it flavored and sweet or bland?
The melon candy sounds good!
Rice Candy is a chewy amber colored candy that is wrapped in paper and then wrapped again in a edible rice cellophane! The candy comes in little boxes and they contain prizes usually stickers or temporary tattoos. The best way to describe the flavor and texture would be a slightly sweet sugar flavored sticky taffy.
