I'm partial to the odd burger as part of my diest.

Has anyone got any tips on places to get a mean tasty burger in and around WDW?

Thanks !

I think Cosmic Rays or Pinnochio's Haus have the best burgers. I love the atmosphere at both. I have never had a burger at Pecos Bill's because it is always packed! The condiments there and at Ray's are about the same.

After seeing this post on the board I stopped and realized that I cant remember in the 6 times that I have been to WDW since 1977 that I have never had a burger at WDW! And the most ironic thing about that I think is that I loveeeeeeeeeee cheeseburgers! I could eat one almost everyday. Not fast food ones but ones I make. I guess I will have to list this chore on my list for our next trip.

Actually I enjoy the burgers at the All Star Sports food court and the ABC Commissary at MGM studios. They are almost exactly alike but I find them to be very tasty with good flavor (or is that flava?). :hammer:

I also vote for Peco's Bills. No matter how crowded it gets, we always manage to hunt down a table....:slurp:

But I think that the burgers at Pinocchio Village Haus next to "It's a Small World" are pretty much the same, if you ask me.... the toppings are available, too.

Pinochios, pecos bill, Cosmic Rays, etc. are all identical, even the toppings bar. The only difference is the location. If you want a good burger at Disney, than I suggest a sit down restaurant. That is the only place you will get a nice piece of meat on a nice roll and not an overcooked pattie on a cold bun(well thats being harsh, but there isn't anything that special about them..sorry, just MHO). I know Beaches & Cream, Concourse Steakhouse, and the restaurant in Liberty Square in MK ( I think it's Liberty Inn ), are all good bets. I've enjoyed them all immensely and was especially surprised by the one at the "liberty Inn" at liberty square/MK.

The condiments do however mask the flavor and soak up the grease.

Here in The Suburbs of Chicago we have a place called White Castle.

For those who aren't familiar with them, White Castle burgers are really small hamburgers.

Much like Pecos Bills Burgers, if White Castle burgers didn't have a pickle and onions on it, they would have no flavor at all!

I like big meaty steak burgers myself..not whimpy burgers slathered in sauce and multiple condiments to mask the non- existence of flavor.:p

Give me a half pound steak burger !! I need the beef!!

Hey we have the White castles here in NY also and THEY RULE!! Although i understand your point because as much as we love them I don't think they can be classified as meat or beef LOL:p
Come to think of it of all the meals I have had at WDW I dont think I have had a burger...oh well i will have to try one next trip

the Liberty Inn is in epcot, in the american adventure pavillion.
you might be thinking of the Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square, but they don't serve burgers. You also could be thinking of Columbia Harbor house in Liberty Square. THey might serve them there, but they are another quick service place like rays, bills, and pinnochios.

I've never been to Pecos Bill's, but it sounds like I'll have to try. I like the ones at Sci-Fi dine in restaurant. I seem to remember having a pretty good bacon, mushroom swiss that was so dripping with fat, it should have come with a defibrillator.:slurp:

Yes it was the Liberty Tree Tavern, thanks for the correction. However, I did eat a burger there for lunch. Unless they recently removed it from the menu, they were serving burgers there for lunch last year. It was very good and a nice thick juicy burger, not a patty like at the counter service joints.

The best burger to me is the first one you have in your foodcourt or at capt cooks after driving for 20 hours or flying all day,as long as it's on Disney property.I do remember a great burger in the lone gone resturant where the rainforest cafe is at in downtown disney(the Disney village then):(

My votes (in no particular order):

Pecos Bill
Beaches N' Creme
Electric Umbrella (Bacon Double Cheeseburger, yeah!)
Cosmic Ray's (not bad, plus they have cheese sauce for dipping)
Restrauntosaurus

And, White Castle's rule! I don't like the pickle and onion on them, but they definitely give them the unique flavor.

I like my burgers at Cosmic Ray.

Me and my wife always go there once every trip and we like it very much.

Plus we're getting to know all the jokes from Sunny Eclipse by now.
