Best attraction you never experienced.

My parent first brought me to the park in 1972 and we visited every year til 1981 and I didn't look back. Working in the park in 1991 was the best. It's the only reason I am happy I am old.

Here's my list:

Alien Encounter (either version)
Millennium Village
Dreamflight/TakeFlight.
There were many shows like the original, somewhat creepy, full-size Muppet show, Tapestry of Nations, SpectroMagic, Tarzan, and Pocahontas. I still haven't sat through Beauty and the Beast.
American Idol, but that was just because I hate American Idol.

For me, it is Disneyland where I have the most attractions that I missed out on.

After watching some YouTube videos, I got to thinking. What attraction would I like to experience if I had a time traveling Delorean? For me, I think that Horizons is something I'm very sorry I missed. I love the whole slow moving, yet educational function that it presented. Sort of like Spaceship Earth.

So, to prove I'm not turning into Scrooge McDuck I offer you this question. Which defunct ride or attraction are you sorry that you never got to experience?

I'd love to see the original Journey into Imagination and The Adventurer's Club. From what I've read and seen (from videos), I really missed out.

We missed 20,000 Leagues at WDW, but rode it when we finally went to DL a few years ago. I'm old enough to have ridden most of the other attractions during my one visit back in the 1970s and again in 1988, but I wish I could remember more details of them.

Mostly anything that had been removed/changed from any of the WDW parks prior to July of 1993 though there has been stuff I have missed which existed in, or came after, '93 but have since been removed. Of particular note:

The Swan Boats
Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes
Mike Fink Keel Boats
Mickey Mouse Revue
Magic Journeys
Legend of the Lion King
Flight to the Moon
America the Beautiful
Magic Carpet 'Round the World
If You Had Wings
Here Come the Muppets
Discovery River Boats
Any of the pre-summer '93 parades/firework shows

I'm sure there is other stuff I'm missing but this is the stuff I know I never experienced. Best attraction of those listed above? I suppose the one I wish I could've experienced the most is the Swan Boats because of their unique location and the views they would've provided.

I grew up in the 90s so I caught a few of these rides just once or so before they closed. I miss Wonders of Life and Timekeeper the most. I don't remember Journey into the Imagination but I love original attractions, so I think I would have likes to experience that again and ride Horizons. I know it's not a popular opinion but Mr. Toad's and Alien Encounter never did it for me...

WondersOfLife

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
  • Mickey Mouse Revue
  • Kitchen Kabaret
  • World of Motion
  • Horizons
  • Journey into Imagination
  • The Legend of the Lion King
  • Countdown to Extinction
  • Communicore
  • The Timekeeper
  • Alien Encounter (I experienced the pre-show but had to be taken out of the main attraction for crying...)

Never saw/would like to have experienced:
  • The Wonders of Life Pavilion (mom refused to go in thinking it would be gross)
  • Kitchen Kaberet
  • Food Rocks
  • Not an attraction, but the parade that used to take place in EPCOT

At 31, I feel old having ridden nearly every ride mentioned and having memories of all of them except skyway because as a kid my parents knew I'd try to jump.. Even when I was a kid though I remembered thinking "this ride won't last long, it's the same as star tours" for body wars.. I do miss 20k and Toad for sure.. For me its usually the seasonal/very short lived things I miss since I live in Ohio.. But I vividly remember the Pink Castle Birthday Cake...
