Our trip started at 2:30 PM on March 29th and ended today at 10:30 AM.
Day 1 (3/29/03):
This was a travel day. We left for Mlps-St. Paul Int. Airport at 2:30 PM. We took a US Air flight to Charolette, NC and then another US Air flight to Orlando Int. We then took a Mears shuttle to the Rennisance World Gate Hotel.
Day 2 (3/30/03):
We took a taxi to the All-Star Sports hotel (we originally planned to stay off-site for the entire trip but later decided that the last four nights should be at the All-Stars). Unfortunately they had run out of Annual Passholder benefits at the Sports so we had to stay at the movies.
We went to the Magic Kingdom and bought our Annual Passes (we're going back later this year so we figured that we should get annual passes). We then entered the MK and rode the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (which we videotaped). We took a grand tour of the Magic Kingdom on the WDW Railroad. Other rides we rode included the Riverboat and Jungle Cruise (taped).
We then went to Epcot for the evening. We walked around World Showcase for a bit and went back to the hotel for a while.
We went to the hotel and checked in. We hoped that our luggage would be there from the All-Star Sports by that time but it wasn't. We called the front desk and they said that our luggage would be there in a half hour and that we didn't have to be in the room at the time so they they reccomended that we go to the food court (it was just about dinner time). We ate dinner and went back to the room, expecting that by now our luggage would have to be there. It wasn't. This was starting to annoy us because it had been about 45 minutes and we wanted to get back to Epcot to see IllumiNations (it was pretty chilly that night, and we wanted our jackets, which were in the suitcase). We must've called the front desk two more times before we finally got our luggage. I guess the moral of the story is that if you're staying at the All-Stars, don't count on their luggage service.
We went back to Epcot and saw (and taped) IllumiNations. It was a pretty fun day, luggage and all.
BTW, It was cold and rainy that day, and the parks were deserted.
