Starting (and hopefully ending) this week, Belle and Beast will be meeting in separate locations in Epcot. This is a testing phase to see how guests react and to see if they can get more guests through the line faster. This would make Beast the only prince to meet without his princess (that I can think of).
As is, you're darn lucky to get a Beast autograph, and this move will make it even more rare. Not a fan of this numbers game at all.

I'll tell you one thing - this isn't a cost cutting move, because now they have to create a head count for another meet and greet, which will add up over the course of a year.

Thanks for the info but awww cmon no Esmeralda coming back? :)
But yeah it does seem silly to seperate beauty and the beast. Why cant they appear at the same time but just kind of apart in two seperate lines near each other? That would be better than totally seperate. Does Aladdin still appear in Morocco?

Oh how I miss the days when logistics like this didn't need to be planned for. The introduction of autograph books, while a fun and cute idea (and DS6 loves his), really changed the whole character dynamic.

Haven't they been selling autograph books for a long time?
I remember getting a little yellow Disney autograph book at the park when I was a kid, back in the '80s.

Question:

Why is Beast "Beast"? Isn't it kind of against the story to have him as "Beast"?

Along those lines, shouldn't Ariel have legs and Flynn Rider be Eugene Fitzherbert?

They always had them - but in the days of roaming characters, it was hard enough to get a picture, let alone an autograph. Plus I know a lot of people like to do custom homemade books with scrap book style pages nowadays.

The answers will depend on which friend of the character you ask.
