Has anyone seen this movie? I got it as my next assignment, and I'm afradi it's gonna be a whole lotta (boring) work. It's just not my kind of movie. So can anyone tell me if it's a talkative movie, like many people talking straight out from beginning to end? Thanks!

It is actually a bizarre movie. If you choose to you can really put a lot of thought into this movie... especially when John Malkovich enters through the door. You may find it more interesting than you are thinking right now, but it is very odd also.

I liked it a lot, and, it's hard to say, but it was a fairly visual movie, so I don't know if the dialogue is as heavy as some. Since it is pretty strange at times, translation could be difficult.

That's what I figured... Anyways, I'll start it now, so I'll probably have some sort of feedback to give you guys tonight.

Ohhh I studied this last year for one of my classes. It's a very psychological movie. Makes you analize EVERYTHING about your life but it's extremely well done and interesting!

Not only did my daughter give me the movie for my birthday(because she knew it was a favorite), but she gave me the gift set with the "Being John Malcovich" nesting doll! It's sitting on my computer even as I type this!

John Malkovich ranks right up there with Kevin Spacey and Christopher Walken as my favorite "interesting" actors!

However, if you consider Jack***, The Movie, great entertainment, you're probably going to find this movie boring! ;)

*nods* he's very compeling.. I was going to name another interesting actor but I can't remember his name LOL. He was in Hamlet and has done lots of other Shakespearian movies. Okay I just looked it up LOL it's Kenneth Branagh. He's a very interesting actor as well.

I like psychological movies, even if Being John Malkovich freaked me out!

Yes! He is an excellent actor! I would be tempted to put KB and Kevin Spacey in one class (and maybe also Edward Norton) as extremely talented actors, but John Malkovich and Christopher Walken are fun to watch in a different way. They have "stage presence". Another actor with great stage presence is Peter O'Toole (sp?).

Well, it varies a lot according to the movie. On an average movie, I can do 30 to 35 minutes a day, my day being from 8:30 to 12:30 and then from 1:30 to 5:30 (with a little break at 11:20 to watch Thundercats, and then at noon to talk to Julia). But movies like King Kong or Conan go a lot faster, since they're more action... In fact, I did Conan in pretty much a day!

I was able to do 20 minutes of BJM today, starting around 2 PM, so it went really well, and I suppose it won't give me too much trouble. I like it so far, even though it's definately NOT my kinda movie... I haven't reached the Malkovich part yet, so I still have stuff to watch.

Isn't it possible to like both? ;)

I loved Malkovitch and every Austin Powers movie. Not exactly the same type of movie! :D

:(

Please refrain from thinking of JuniorTOT as the spokesman for Jackass fans. He's 14 years old and is expected to say stupid things...just because of my liking Jackass I am being automatically associated with him...which is waaaay off.

I love Jackass as well as Being John Malcovich. Although I enjoy Jackass it does not mean I am a jackass...the general concensus here is that if you enjoy things such as Jackass that you're an instant moron. Thats very untrue in my case and many others. I wish you would all stop making that connection.

Oooooops...Mom just saw the facetious thing. After all the people I've yelled at for not reading through entire posts before they make a remark I continue to do it. lol

Did you finish the movie, and what did you think? Any parts you really like, or did you just hate the whole thing like you thought you would?
