Is it possible? just wanted to know, becuase on our next trip, on the day we get into DW, other members want to go to the spa and relax in the room and sftuff, but I don't. Is it possibe that they just drop me off at DAK while not having to pay for parking?? is that possible? just entering the parking lot for a min. or two to let me hop ouf of the car? We are staying at a off site resort, so we wouldn;t have free parking.

Thanks, Wdwmagic!!:wave::wave::wave:

I pretty sure that you can't enter the lot without paying.

My suggestion is to drop you off at Animal Kingdom lodge, then hop on the bus.

I know there's a Guest Drop-off area at MK - you bypass the parking lot and take a different road, and there's an area where you can stop and drop off passengers, leaving them a short walk to gate. I've only used it there, but I'd be surprised if there weren't one at all the parks.

Not sure, as I've never taken this particular bus trip, but according to http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/twiz.aspx the trip would take 18 minutes.
Sheesh! that's pretty long...

HMM! I would hope that's true for the DAK as well! Is there a number I can call or something?

Maybe someonee on here knows for sure.:king::lookaroun

The technically correct way to do this would be to go to the guest drop off area at the TTC (right next to the Polynesian) and then take the bus over to Animal Kingdom. As someone else suggested, you can get dropped off at Animal Kingdom Lodge and then take the bus from there as well. Without being a resort guest they may question you a bit more, but I don't think you would be denied.

Are you staying on Disney property??? If so just go to the resort with them and get on the bus. There is no fast fast way to begin your fun. All parks are a drive as well as from the resorts. But I think posters are right go to Animal Kingdom lodge it is the closet resort to the DAK.

We dropped my sister off at AK once with no problem and no payment. We were headed out to the airport while they had one more day in FL. We were staying off property. They just had us follow through to the taxi area.

As the previous poster said, they should allow you to park without any problem. Just stop at the toll plaza and ask for directions. There are colored lines painted on the roadway after the plaza, leading to the non-typical parking locations (AAA, handicap, taxi, etc). They'll tell you which one to follow.

Someone already mentioned the drop-off right at the TTC (which is *not* within the MK parking lot) and AK where the taxis park. At Epcot years ago, we were directed to the Kennel/AAA parking area (which is *not* where the taxis go).

You should have no problems, when they get to the parking plaza, just say you are a drop off they will prob give you a paper saying drop of only, so they know they can ticket you if you then go ahead and park. if you are staying on site, the resort will issue a free parking permit and you will be waved through the plaza anyway.
