I'm at MK right now posting from IASW and I see a wall and structure being built next door. What is it? I tried to search.

You know, I didn't think Disney could come up with a more elaborate way to waste money and resources than their ridiculously expensive Meet and Greets. It turns out they have. Now we get to watch Disney spend years building overly themed and expensive BATHROOMS! Who needs rides when you can enjoy the characters from Tangled while you pee and poop? Coming Soon: A 6-year, $400 million dollar construction project that will involve a Monsters Inc. overlay to the Tomorrowland bridge. I can't wait!

So would you rather they just build a plain concrete building to put the restrooms in? Restrooms always need to blend in with the section of they are located in, so why not theme them to a movie? As for the Meet and Greets, they are popular with the little ones so I would think that most parents with little kids wouldn't see this as a waste of money.

If the bathrooms were not themed everyone would complain that the bathrooms are not immersive to be in the Magic Kingdom. The "Tangled" bathrooms are not themed so that your bathroom experience is special, but so that when you walk by the bathrooms they don't seem so much like bathrooms and they contribute to the feeling that you are in a "FANTSYLAND."

Go check out the bathrooms in Circusland. They are perfectly fit into the area and contribute to the theme of the area. The Tangled bathrooms are taking an area the has been useless (except for a parking lot for strollers) and making it fresh, beautiful and more useful (increased bathroom capacity compared to the Peter Pan bathrooms and better traffic flow on the increased path ways.)

We who love Disney expect the best and that is what they are giving us, albiet in a bathroom. I get the sarcasm that you want more than just a bathroom, but I think they are doing so with a complete facelift and expansion of Fantasyland. If you want to debate where Disney needs to sink their money to improve things, I think you need to start or continue on the DHS and EPCOT threads.

I assume this was directed at the original poster even though your quoted my post. I am fully in support of the Tangled restroom themeing.

Exactly. I quoted you as I was in support of your comments. Funny as it is, I am actually really excited about these new bathrooms. With having some kids, they will love the new themeing and I welcome the increased bathrooms. Anyone who has been around that area knows how hard it can be to get to the bathroom because of not having them anywhere else around to only find that the small sized Peter Pan bathrooms are crowded and you need to ell your 3 year old "We made it, but now we have to wait!"

Further I am so glad they are finally doing something with the old Skyway plot. I think it will loook great.

Could not agree more.
A) I don't think anyone has announced the budget for this addition, so there are a limited few people who might know how much this actually costs
B) This is more than just a restroom, it also adds a seating area and a new pathway to help remove a crowd bottleneck. Even if the budget was known, the budget for just the restroom section would also include the path, seating, and theming.
C) I can't believe that anyone would complain that they are taking care to make sure that a section of the park is themed well

Personally, I'm looking forward to the view down Fantasyland towards HM once this is complete and think whatever money is being spent here, it's well worth it.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when somoene has an opinion about what someone else or a company should do and they know for a fact that their opinion is the "correct" one. Only in the USA and of all things discussing Disney World are people complaining about bathroom themes.
