Behind the Seeds Tour / Land Pavillion Epcot

Has anyone done the Behind the Seeds Tour at the Land boat ride in Epcot? Is it worth while? It's only $18 for 1 hour. I wonder if it's going to be good though.

It's not the boat ride! You really get behind the scenes down in the greenhouses! Oh yes my fanily thought it was worth every penny even my then 5 year old ds he had a blast!

We have done it twice. It took me 14 years of going to WDW before I signed yup and I thought it was excellent. On both tours most all of the people were very interested in gardening and growing their own foods as well as the larger view of agriculture and farming in general. If you don't have much interest in the subject it may be a bit boring. If you do have some interest you will find a plethora of great information....plus it is interesting to see the attraction from a different view.

They also let you hold a Mickey pumkin! Makes a great pic!

Yep, it depends what they have available, but they do have samples.

You will also either release ladybugs or parasitic wasps as a pest control measure.

you also get to feed the Tilapia in the aquaculture tank.

I think I have gone on the tour 4 times. Most of the tour guides are college students who are majoring in an agriculture related topic or in a botany related topic - as opposed to "Disney type" tour guides. So while they may not be able to tell you what Walt's favorite vegetable was, they can answer a load of technical questions.

I did it in October and I think I got to try cucumber. I liked it since I'm in the biology field. Got a discount for using Disney visa. It's neat to be "on the other side" of things and see the boats go by.

Agree with all of the above - a great tour and you will enjoy it.

Get to see so many interesting things, learn new info, see the room where the Mickey pumpkins became self aware and tortured those poor....um....I've said too much already.

Just go. You'll love it.

(Avoid the pumpkins.)

Did it twice and enjoyed both! Disney visa gets you a discount on the price as does an AP. Lots of fun.

As mentioned, it isn't a boat ride; it's a walking tour.

I think that if you enjoy the boat ride, you will like the tour. If you do not like the boat ride, you will not.

I enjoyed both. Not the greatest tour I ever took, but a nice one.

I did it in about 2001!! YEARS ago, I seem to remember it being $6 then LOL
