Beer Question for Brits on the Board

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
I believe my roommate got himself a Hoegaarden at the Rose & Crown when we visited last year... I should still have the receipts from that trip here somewhere...

EDIT: Yup, here it is. "Hoegarden $8.00" Same price as my Guinness pint. :) Don't know if it was draft or bottle, though.
(Scary what I can dig up when I start looking...)

Its draft

My wife was reading a British mystery novel and the hero in it was always drinking 'Old Peculiar'. She insisted that I get some and try it.
Maybe it was just me but it seemed very peculiar.

My friend's wife also raves about getting a Strongbow (cider) and black currant. She said the only place outside of London that she's ever found to be able to get it is at the Rose & Crown and Raglan Road.

Ah Cider and Black! They do it in most places in the West Midlands in my expeirence.

That's nice to know Rob. If the weather is anything like when I was at WDW in May 08 (unseasonably hot but enjoyed none the less), a frosty pint of Hoegaarden will be most welcome.
