Very excited to see this one- seems to have a good mix of comedy (Sandler!!) and special effects. The trailer had me doing double takes, it looks so life-like. The gumballs raining down and Sandler as a gladiator! Anyone else seen the trailer?

Yeah. I saw the trailer. It looks like a fun film. It should really do good I think.
Oh I totally agree- I think it will go over really well with families. It's always tricky picking something that my brother and my parents will all want to see on Christmas. But this has a Friends alum (Courteney ) who my mom is obsessed with and then enough comedic talent that my brother will be happy to see - Russell Brand is one of my favorite new comedians too actually!

I agree, I think it is going to be a very cute movie. It is very imaginative too. I definetly want to see it when it comes out.
Kind of obsessed... as usually, so I have been keeping tabs on the film's website. even just clicking thru the images makes me crack a smile- imaginative for sure!

Wow! Looks like a great film. Good story idea and very funny. If this film is promoted well and promoted enough, this film could do VERY well at the Christmas Box Office. Might do even better than Enchanted did over Thanksgiving. The name Adam Sandler will also boost up the numbers. Looking forward to watching this one!

The execution is a huge draw for me actually- did you notice the special effects in the trailer?
It's like they combined the quality of an action film with a family comedy- very impressive. Like when Sandler is rolling around as a gladiator and even the guinea pig Bugsy looks realistic. and like you said the concept is just so playful, perfect for xmas! I think something that crosses into several genres and is a strong comedy tends to do really well at the box office.
Thought I'd bump this thread back up since I saw some new clips and pictures on facebook...I don't know about you guys but I could (and often do) spend hours poking around that site!
Some of the still from the movie looked really funny- it's good see stuff that wasn't in the trailer, clearly they didn't give away to much in the promos! I can't wait to see how it all fits together - between the sci fi, fantasy and comedy elements, it should be pretty interesting!
