Any suggestions about the most comfortable flip flops to wear to walk around the world in? How about Nike comfort fit? Or Champion comfort fit? those kinds with the paddinds? Last time I went I bought expensive Sketchers and had blisters....Thanks:shrug:

I second the Crocs! I've also done Adidas athletic flip-flops. While they're comfortable, if you catch the front on a curb or anything else, you stretch out the thong of the shoe, and then the shoe doesn't fit well on your foot. Doesn't happen with the Crocs ;)

I'm a fan of Teva's. I agree that Crocs are comfortable but sometimes the plastic gets slippery when wet and for some reason the Teva's feel cooler to me and more comfortable. I prefer Teva Mush. Incredibly light too.

I gotta agree that they get slippery when wet. However, I love them so much I just am extra careful when it rains. I have never looked at the Teva Mush, now I will!

Fitflops are my favorites...comfortable, and you do get a bit of a "workout" with them. I bought my first pair at WDW years ago and have stuck with only them since!

I for one am against wearing flip flops at WDW. Not because of having to see feet, I don't care at all, I used to go barefoot in college all the time, keeping a pair of loafers or chucks in my backpack for meals. I still kick off my shoes and feel the grass between my toes when I'm at a local park or backyard.

But in daily normal life or at a crowded amusement park I'm against flip flops because I think they are bad for the feet longterm and are an invitation to getting a crushed toe, foot, or heel.

I personally alternate between my light hikers and running shoes while I'm touring.

I, too, saw the title and thought...huh? I think it was supposed to say best...lol.

Anyhoo, flip flops are so unflattering on the foot and also the worst shoe to wear. It is so bad for your feet, They give no support and that thing in between the toes...ick. If anyone chooses to wear flip flops...please get a pedicure.

I always wear sneakers with socks or crocs. Crocs aren't the most fashion friendly shoe either but I have the Mary Jane ones and they are cuter than the regular ones. They are comfy and perfect for water rides or the water parks, too....plus they stay on and don't fall off.

Just my 5 cents.:)

I know that some people think it's insane to wear flip flops at a park like Disney but to me they are a lot more comfortable than socks and sneakers. I hate walking around with wet sneakers and socks on my feet and even dry find them far too constrictive and hot for all day use. The flip flops that everyone say is bad for your feet are the traditional flat ones with no padding and no arch. There are so many new versions of the flip flops with padding and arches that rival the best of sneakers. They also come with the back strap if you are worried about them coming off your feet. Because of an accident years ago where I crushed my ankle I need to be very careful about the footwear that I choose. Even just turning too quickly can bring on intense pain and the heat makes my ankle swell just enough to make any sneaker I have ever tried rub uncomfortably. As far as a pedicure goes, I have seen much worse things at the park than some ugly feet.

I have no problem with naked ugly feet. Who cares. And I will grant that many high-end flops have support, but I would also wager that most people are not wearing those types.

My biggest worry/question is about getting crushed. My toes get stepped on/run over on a regular basis at the parks.

Isn't that an issue for you?

I am a huge fan of Fitflops. Last trip I didn't even take any other types of shoes. I have two pair, one of which is a black Mickey pair that I purchased on a previous trip. They are very supportive and comfortable. If you do get some, I would suggest wearing them around before you go. As with any new shoes, the strap part might rub your foot when you're doing a lot of walking.

I've got some Crocs flip flops and they're good for around home, but I got blisters between my toes from all the walking after just one day in the MK with them.
These flip flops worked really well for me in WDW. They didn't chafe in between my toes like the Crocs ones did. Plus with all the straps, they don't "flop" so much.

These Tevas were my favorite though. They're not flip flops but they're super comfy when walking all day.

Agreed, the Teva mush ones are the only flip flop I can wear all through Disney without my foot being all red and irritated from where the strap was.
