Becoming an Imagineer

Hello all!

Are there any Disney employees or interns (past or present) that have any insight that could help an engineering student pursue a career in Imagineering?

My current plan includes taking the Engineering Professional Development Study during the Disney college program, perhaps returning for the CP alumni program, and then applying for an engineering professional internship with the company during my Junior or Senior year.

Are there any notable points that I should include in my plan?

Thanks to all who took the time to read this!

One of my good friends wife is an Imagineer, she actually works on the rides and does everything from making sure the paint looks right to making sure the animatronics are working correctly, also the theming, it has to be perfect. She has a Masters degree in Art and a Masters in Engineering, not only that but she had to network her way around.

That is absolutely amazing! I'm sure her hard work and dedication is paying off.

Also thank you for sharing this, I personally value any and all insight.
