I heard that Beauty and the Beast Live On Stage is gone forever from MGM Studios and Disney World! Does anyone know what they're going to put in its place? If it's gone, I'm going to cry.     Why couldn't they take away The Hunchback of Notre Dame instead of Beauty and the Beast. I found Beauty and the Beast better than The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

BOO HOO!!!!

I'm confused.

ersonally i didn't like either of them so i want to see hunchback replaced too and i can't watt to see what is going to be in place of the beast and beauty

It was still there back in January, but they are cutting back how many shows there are. I'll see when I go in 4 days.

It would be a shame to see the show go... but it has been there for quite a while and Beauty and the Beast is slowly losing its appeal... (they've run out of sequels to do). I personally like Hunchback better anyway. At least that one has a more cohesive story to it.

Anyway, the thing I would hate most about Beauty and the Beast going under is the possible loss of the pre-show. 4-for-a-Dollar (Return 2 Zero on their CD) is by far is the best pre-show, and one of the best musical groups in the whole World. I really hope that if Beauty goes under they keep them. I personally think they deserve their own thing, because MGM doesn't have a straight music show.

What they might do to the stage though is put Tarzan Rocks in there, revamp FotLK for the AK stage, and then put a ride where that area currently is. No clue if this is true, just a thought. But that would give that area of AK a much needed RIDE...

Sorry, it was just a random idea. If it could be done that way though the idea would work rather well I think.

What are you talking about? Every time I watch the show the theatre is completely full, no room left and people are sitting there for an hour or more. I think this show should not go, it takes many people, it's popular and it's turning into an MGM classic.

When we were there last year, '4 for a Dollar' wasn't performing...we were wondering if they were gone permanently...

...we like the Beauty and the Beast show a lot and hope it doesn't close...it's always SRO when we attend a performance.....but we like Hunchback better too...in fact, when Hunchback first opened, we saw it 9 times.....the CMs were so use to seeing us, that they let us in thru the handicapped area so we could get down in front....and word got backstage about our obsession with the show and many of the players discreetly waved or winked to us during the performance...and we eventually got a brand new, untorn 'ACE' from the Hunchback with all the signatures of the players on it....in their stage names, of course.

...perhaps cuz first impressions last forever, we never enjoy the show as much as we did that first year...while a few of the players remain the same, most have changed and don't live up to our expectations....kinda like Mel Gibson playing Captain Butler in a remake of "Gone with the Wind".......real good but ya can't get Clark Gable out of your mind.

I bet getting that untorn ACE was awesome. Take a pic of it, I wanna see it.

4 for a Dollar might not have been performing when you went, but I was there last Tuesday and thier new CD was on sale at the cart right outside the theater. Disney has SERIOUSLY cutting back the performances of the minor musical groups that very few people know about, you probably just caught a black day.

I hope B&B stage show is not cancled. I love the movie and the show is nice. But, Hunch back is better. You can't really compare the 2, the pupets and senery is breath taking. It is really as creative as as any broadway production. I don't even like the hunch back movie much, but the stage show at MGM rocks! I saw it ASL interpreted for deaf people last time I was there (I know sign since I work with deaf people) and they were also great. I only wached the man and women to interpreted it, it was a show itself!!!! I don't think there was any deaf people in the audiance, I was really the only one paying attention!

Thats them... and all of the arrangments of thier music is written by Marshel and Doug (the two on the far left when watching them). The other two members have changed throughout the years, but if you love watching pure talent, 15 minutes before showtime is where it is

I loved 4 for a dollar! My best friend does it with his friends. Also, if you like them, you would love "Three Men and a Tenor" Basically like 4 for a dollar. What days are BandB not running? I'm going in 2 days, and was wondering what day I should head to MGM and try to brave the crowds....

I couldn't agree with you more
Beauty and the Beast live is a major MGM attraction everyone doesn't go just for ToT and RnR. My 8 year old son's ambition is to dance in this version of the show when he's on summer vacation from Med School, so they better not close it for at least 15 years:animwink:

Beauty and the beast. It was alright :lookaroun

It's not a staple attraction to a lot of people though. And i've been a few times when there weren't very many people in the theatre at all. I say take it out if they have to. . . We may see something better

 No. You might have gone to the wrong place. Beauty and the Beast is always to the max and sincerely I don't think there is such a good movie to replace Beauty and The Beast On Stage. What I mean is that there are many great Disney movies, but not as perfect as B&TB for a live show. Why? The songs, the sinthetic story, the many people that love it.
