Beastly Kingdom is not a rumor. Before the park opened, the Kingdom was planned for the location where Camp Minnie-Mickey is today. Beastly Kingdom would have included a Fantasia Section, a dueling rollercoaster called "Dueling Dragons", And a few other things. But Disney didn't have enough money at the time, so Disney refused the rollercoaster and it was then added to the late plans of Universal's Island's of Adventure. Camp Minnie-Mickey was built as a temp. land in place of Beastly Kingdom. The project has since been green-lighted, with a new name, and a new coaster. Details are still sketchy, but there are many plans. One of the rumors is Beastly Kingdom will be built along a new waterway, connecting the lodge to the park, but I haven't seen any proof yet, except in the orginal plans for the lodge, but they are so old, I don't really think they will still connect the two with a waterway, but Disney does suprise me sometimes. If you think about it, the thing Disney will most likely do now is Major Expansion of the parks, so attendance can be back up again, and the Hotels can bring in money, money, money. Mr. Eisner has confirmed that a new major land, complete with an E-ticket attraction, will be built at AK within the next 5 years. He has also confirmed that the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is being built at DCA. Expansion of the company, is the key to surpassing AOL Time Warner right now, and that is what he is focusing on right now.

The flaming Dragon Head is located on the shores of Camp Minnie-Mickey. It was built for the Discovery River Boat Cruse. The Waterway I spoke of was to be built and added to connect the lodge to the park. Australia will probably be built around the lake that exists in the park right now.

All i Know bout Beastly Kingdom has been said already...there isnt MUCH to tell..other than they are going to make it very fantasy like....

So...where exactly is Beastly going? North of Camp Minnie-Mickey and south of Africa? And the area north of the Dinoland-Asia lake...is that the area they currently have cleared(at the far back of the park...I saw the area during my Backstage Safari)? The cast member actually told us they were building Australia first. But, that was a year ago when we thought Beastly would never be built, so it's apparent that it will be built first. If disney were REALLY smart...they'd build em both at once and finish Animal Kingdom's sweeping victory over Busch Gardens. I don't even know what they could do for Australia...so many possibilities...that could be a REALLY beautiful land if disney does it right...and in terms of scenary, disney has done EVERYTHING right at Animal Kingdom. Imagine how kewl Beastly will look...is it still planned to be set about a castle?

not sure they should replace Camp Minnie-Mickey...one big complaint about AK had been "there's nothing to do for kids"...would not be wise to remove part of what little they have...I'm sure they could build around this land...it's sooooooooo small...I could see Festival over in Harambe...I suppose...but then where would the kiddies meet and greet all the characters?! BK does not seem conducive to a character meet-and-greet...other than the characters from Sword in the Stone.
