Beastly Kingdom to become Narnia?

If the upcoming release of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" is a success (especially spawning sequels of the other books), do you think Camp Minnie Mickey could become eventually become Narnia? Such events would provide the imagineers with the opportunity to breathe life into their old Beastly Kingdom ideas, and provide the accountants with some more money to manage.

I say, ax Pocohantas, move FOLK to Africa, and erect Narnia. What do you think?

Personally I think it would be nice as an attraction inside a Beastly Kingdom...but not as a stand alone land....That being said, does Disney own the Theme park rights to Narnia and sequels?

I'm fairly positive that I read they had MOVIE rights to the series (assuming sequals as well), but haven't read anything about rights for building attractions based on the series. I'm not sure it would fit AK as well as the studios, tho.

Why tear down Camp Minnie- Mickey at all? There's plenty of land inside AK for both. AK needs all it can get (with the exception of Dinorama, that needs to go).

That said, not sure how I feel about a Narnia attraction/ land, have to see how the movie does too.

Of course it would fit DAK. The series predominantly features animals in stories/myth. Though they are not inherently "make believe" they have "make believe" powers (i.e. talking/magic). It will still be filling that "mythical" animal void that Eisner talked about in park opening, albeit in just a modified form.

Though, I do see how it could potentially fit into the Studios, I think it could vastly improve DAK.

Because it was a last minute temporary rush job with a measely budget! There isn`t that much land available at AK; due to Reedy & Boggy Creeks the site is more limited than it appears; hence it`s long North-South size, and thin East-West size.

Honestly, I work at DAK every once in a while, and I highly doubt that this would happen. Not only would they never move FOLK but Camp Minnie Mickey is set up for character meet and greets, and I really doubt that they would tear it down. Isn't there a post on here about the Tarzan area becoming something with Chronicles of Narnia?

The theater would stay...but everything else in the "camp" will probably at one point or another be replaced by whatever they decide to do with the camp...it is, after all, only a temporary land...right?

Please don't suggest they tear down Camp Minnie-Mickey. Iti s the best place in the World to see Minnie and Mickey without the long lines. And it's soooo much fun during December with the entertainers and decorations. Besides they just re-did the FOLK stage and that show is incredible. No no no please don't destroy CMM

Camp Minnie Mickey was a short fix at first. But over the years more money has been invested into the area, for example The Festival of The Lion King was converted, as well as additional touches throughout the area. Because it is now considered the "kiddie land" within Animal Kingdom, I doubt this land will be altered any time in the near future.

They certainly do.

Both Richard Cook and Jay Rasulo have said that Narnia-themed attractions are in development. That doesn't mean any will be built, it just means they are developing ideas.

I have also heard (this is an un-comfirmed rumor) that Disney (who passed on both publishing and film rights) does own the attractions rights to Harry Potter, again this in unconfirmed. Anybody know?

Use the search feature and you will find tons of discussions about the Harry Potter situation. It should answer any questions you may have.

I'm new here. Is there any evidence of Naria or a Harry Potter ride? My opinion is uninformed but I can't see Disney doing either of these, especially Narnia. Now I would support a Harry Potter ride if they were creative with it; they could do a ride with the flying car from the second book or something along those lines. Harry Potter might be alittle more than a fad, but overall I just don't see Disney doing something with a thing that is just currently popular, I mean kids might not even know what or who Harry Potter is in 5, 10 years.

I am not sure why people are so quick to write-off Camp Mickey Minnie, an area that actually attracts a large amount of guests, yet the same people complain when attractions like WoL and Timekeeper are closed.......attractions that do not attract a lot of guests.
