I'm not surprised there was a bear sighting there. I'm surprised there aren't more. If you're not from the area you'd be surprised at the amount of wildlife here. People make fun of Australia for having flora and fauna that want to kill you, Florida is right up there with all their gators, snakes, spiders, bears, coyotes, etc and that's not even getting into the marine life.

I just think it's amusing that there's a specific status for this.... "phase 1 bear sighting"..... Just makes me laugh with the absurdity of it.

I've heard all sorts of stories about woodland critters and their behaviors as well as the campers. (None I can repeat) and it seems that's where all the shenninagans happen.

Probably bear scat has been found indicating the presence of bear(s).

Just your average bear, I live in the sticks and bears are well everywhere but you almost NEVER see them, just their tracks and scat.

No, I asked around. Someone saw a bear. They see it about 2-3 times a month. They want to catch it and relocate it.

There's one that lives on the edge of celebration, so the residents tell me.
