Beaches & Cream + Hurricane Hanna's

We're headed to WDW in December with our kids and my parents! :D

I'd like to go to Hurricane Hanna's for the kids meal with the shovel & pail but I read a post somewhere that HH was only available for BC/YC resort guests. Is this true?

Also, the menu shows a "Beaches and Cream Signature Cheeseburger" on it, is this really the same burger as you can get at B&C without the wait?

After eating at HH we planned on seeing the white chocolate carousel (or whatever is there at the BC) and then heading to B&C for a Kitchen Sink.

Will we need to leave one of us at B&C to wait in line for a table while the others look at the carousel or can we all fit around the counter to eat it (there are 6 of us)?

Thanks so much for all your help!!

I believe b and c has pagers..so you would presumably have to have someone close by
I have been to hurricane Hannahs before and just can't remember if you can access it from a public area or only from storm along bay.....

I was there in May

You CAN get to HH without being a resort guest. Only the pool complex itself requires a keycard. There is a sidewalk that runs along the side of the lake. It goes between the shipwreck and the pool complex itself. HH is just between the shipwreck and the Yacht Club resort.

Yes, somone would need to wait behind with the pager. There are tables and chairs outside for waiters. I see no reason why everyone would need to be there as long as you could call them on a cell to let then know to come now. Regarding "fit around the counter", if I understand you correctly, the kitchen sink is not on the counter service side (take out)menu, as the dish it comes in is not disposable. You would need to wait on the table service side to get it.

When I ate there, I don't remember their menu referring to the burger as the Beaches and Cream burger. That being said, I don't KNOW that it isn't either. The two places are in close proximity, but are not connected. Also, one of my older kids got the sand pail kids meal and liked it. Regardless of the name or source of the burgers we got there, we liked them, if that helps.

If you really want to try the famous burger, and you are going to wait for a table to get the kitchen sink anyway, perhaps you should simplify and just get it all at B&C in one shot. Drawback: you may still be full from burgers when sink arrives.

Other ideas to fill time while your food digest (depending on time of day):

Walk the Boardwalk, esp. at night
Sit on the beach in a lounge chair or hammick
There are sitting rooms inside the BC, w/ a nice one in the vicinty of the marketplace gift shop that has TV and sofas.
there is an arcade very near B&C

B&C no longer does take out meals, they refer you to Hurricane Hannahs. They do the cooking at Hannah's. The food always smells great poolside.

We found the burgers at B&C lacking this past December.

As far as sitting at the counter for a kitchen sink: You still need to wait for those seats and I think a table is more convenient for six people to share. They have large booths that will seat 6 comfortably.

So, if it's crowded have someone wait near B&C while everyone else sees the gingerbread carousel (it's really cool!) and you can always switch off if the wait is long. It gets crowded as people walk back from Illuminations.
