Beaches & cream - how shall I get there?

i have just managed to get an ADR at beaches and cream for dinner at 5.30 on The first night of our honeymoon in November.
We are staying at AKL and I was wondering if someone could give me advice on best mode of transport to get to out ADR and where to go next?
I was thinking of driving over but then I thought I could bus to Epcot or HS and then boat across, can I do this? Then I could boat back to a park and get a bus back to AKL. As our reservation is quite early we could go watch illuminations or something as we should be done in plenty of time. Not sure how busy buses are in early November once parks close.

Advice appreciated!

We stayed at AKL and had breakfast ADR at Cafe Cape May. We took the bus to EPCOT and walked into World Showcase, through Canada and UK and then walked through the International Gateway to The Beach Club resort.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
If you have a car the easiest and quickest would be to drive and go directly to the resort. We always have a car and stay at Kidani often and drive to anywhere to that area with Beach Club etc. But if you plan on going to Epcot after it might be best to take the bus to Epcot first and then walk/take boat to your ressie at Beaches and Cream and then take the boat/walk back to Epcot when your done. :)

As @sxeensweet said, using your car to get to Beach Club is the easiest/fastest. But if you plan to go into Epcot after dinner (with a 5:30 pm reservation, you should be leaving Beaches and Cream by 7 pm at the latest, giving you a couple hours before Illuminations) you should use the bus system.

To save you from walking all the way through Epcot and out the International Gateway to get to Beaches and Cream, I suggest taking the bus from AKL to AK ( a quick ride!) and then transferring to the Yacht/Beach Club bus. This will save lots of steps, in addition to time saved from not having to go through security at Epcot.

I love the boat from HS so that's usually how I get to the Epcot resorts. The good thing to remember about being at the resorts is that if you are ever there late Disney Springs is open till midnight or later and you can do a bus transfer there to your resort.

There is also the option of taking a Taxi from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Beach Club if you don't feel like driving. If you went with that option you can take the bus back from Epcot once Illuminations is over.

My first choice would be drive myself. You could still boat to Epcot for Illuminations, boat/bus back to the Boardwalk/Yacht/Beach club area when it closes - it is your honeymoon, maybe you'd like a nightcap (just one, though, you're driving) at Jellyrolls or one of the other joints along the Boardwalk.
Second choice - Bus to DHS, boat or walk (depending on the weather) to Beach Club
Third choice - Bus to AKL, Bus to Beach Club. I just get a little paranoid when it comes to taking more than one bus. If the bus to DHS takes a while, then once you're there, you could walk briskly without waiting for a bus and be at Beach Club in 10-15 minutes. But if you wind up waiting for a while for your bus to AKL and then wait another while for a bus to BC, that could be a pain.

Yes. Drive. So much less hassle if all you want to do is eat at B&C, stroll the area, or take a boat to either Epcot or HS afterward. Your car will be fine.
