Is there a preferred location when staying at the Beach Club? We rented a DVC studio and aren't really sure about the layout and if it really matters. TIA

Here's a map of room numbers from DVCInfo.com: https://dvcinfo.com/dvc-information...villas/parkinfo2go-maps-of-beach-club-villas/

Haven't stayed here personally but my experience with the BC hotel and with the Boardwalk is that rooms facing the woods and EPCOT get some traffic noise w EPCOT Resorts Boulevard but are more private than those facing the pool (even #s), though you may catch some fireworks. In particular, odd #s in the 60s/70s are geographically closest to the street and the bridge over the canal and are noisier with traffic. Best bet is probably the low #s facing the courtyard by the porte cochere (x00-x10) or facing the pool

The DVC studios are exclusively in the Villas building. They tend to either overlook the Villas pool/car park, or the woodland/back of Epcot, I believe! Some also look over the small courtyard between the Beach Club main building and the Villas.

As above, the courtyard or the pool rooms would be my choices.

We were (approximately) in 440 when we stayed in a Beach Club studio, facing a busy roadway that was only partially hidden behind a line of trees. I wouldn't recommend that location to anyone: the traffic noise continued 24/7 and it was terrible. While the soundproofing on the sliding door was amazing and we heard very little with it closed, once it was open the roar was deafening.

While we had hoped to enjoy morning coffee on our balcony, the balcony was so tiny, the view so unattractive and the noise so prohibitive of conversation that we ended up abandoning that attempt. (Not to mention, we were using all of the sleeping spaces -- sofa folded out and Murphy bed folded down, so all the floor space in the room was taken up with beds and the displaced cushions, chairs and coffee table -- which totally blocked all access to the balcony anyway.

Touringplans has views from many of the rooms here, if you'd like to check them out. (Just select a studio as your room type): https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-beach-club-villas

I was in what is probably considered not a great area, facing the roadway, no view, didn't matter it was nice. Some will be closer to the parking lot, some to the waterpark, it's not that big a building though. I would say prioritize having a room available when you arrive.
