Beach Club Resort?

Hi, I am new to this site and wanted to say "Hi" to all of you. I am staying at Beach Club Resort this May and was wanting to know if any of you have stayed at this resort before and if so, what did you think about it? I am excited and picked this resort for obvious reasons, but yet, I have started seeing some mixed reviews on the 'net here lately, ranging from fantastic to negative. Does anybody here have anything on this resort?

Second - the Internet is full of people who want to bash something - for one reason or another. I wouldn't put too much stock into ANYTHING negative that you read.

I've stayed at the Beach Club twice before and am going back in a month. The resort is my favorite - and I have stayed at the monorail resorts, Wilderness Lodge, and visited POR. There is a bright airy feel, the pool is amazing, you can walk to 2 parks or just stroll the Boardwalk. And the lobby smells amazing. Anyone can find ANYTHING to complain about ANYWHERE - but I think you will be happy with your choice once you get there.

Bienvenidos abordo. I've stayed at Beach Club Villas but the resort and the ambiance are the same. I have enjoyed it thoroughly. As stated above, anyone can find anything to complain about. The only thing I wasn't overly thrilled about was their QS dining selection. However, you have The Boardwalk across the lake and Yacht Club there as well. You are within walking distance to Epcot and DHS. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed at the BC in summer of 2012 and we loved it. The pool of course is amazing, we loved all the lounges available between the YC and BC to have a cocktail or a quiet meal. We loved walking into EPCOT thru the International Gateway. Found the resort a fun and happy place. A great location, great food choices nearby, great pool, very nice rooms. A wonderful disneymoon to you!

Thanks so much! I'm spending my Disneymoon there and when I was looking at all the resorts online, that one was the one that stood out, so I cannot wait!

The Beach Club (BC) is an outstanding resort to spend anytime at but a Honeymoon is doubly awesome.

The Beach Club is located on Crescent Lake, probably the most adult area of WDW. It's within easy walking distance of Epcot's World Showcase and just across the lake (boat or walk) to Disney's Boardwalk. Also a boat ride away from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The Boardwalk (as well as the World Showcase) offers several nice restaurants and bars for two adults to hangout at. Several stay open late, usually later than everything except the Magic Kingdom.

After you've tried the usuals on the Boardwalk itself, consider giving the Belle Vue Lounge inside the Boardwalk Inn a try for something different. It's a quiet, small lounge with old radio shows playing, a homage to the Golden Era of the 1930s & 1940s, in keeping with the Boardwalk's overall theming. Best to go after 5 or when Epcot closes at 9:30 PM. It's tucked away so don't be afraid to ask a Cast Member for help.

It's really convenient to walk back to the Beach Club from the Boardwalk or the World Showcase.

Welcome to the WDWMagic forums! I have never actually stayed at the Beach Club (even though I dream of ), but I have toured the whole resort. I love the pool, and it really feels like a beach in parts of the resort. The lobby looks very nice, too. It also has some nice dining options with Cape May Café and Beaches and Cream. As I said earlier, I have never stayed there so I can't speak for the rooms, but from what I've seen in the lobby, pool, and exterior, plus the reviews of the rooms, I enjoy the resort as a whole.
