Imo, you’re staying at the hotels with the 2 best slides in all of WDW. . I think that’s a good decision. Can’t wait to read the trip report!! Is this trip a land/sea combo, or is the cruise on a different date?

We are DVC and home resort is BC. We do love it, but for the slide, the kiddos have to run out onto sidewalk to go up the stairs...I always followed mine and as a consequence had to go down the slide myself .

Oh and bonus. With either resort you stay at, you literally have the two BEST ice cream spots on property hands down.

I love me some ice cream, so does my daughter. We were on a cruise last week and i am pretty sure she consumed approximately 752.7 ice cream cones.

But, yes, the slide at BC...it seemed strange to have to leave the pool area out onto a thoroughfare to get to the steps of the slide. In fact, one of the days we were at the pool there was some kind of formal event on the beach by the steps. so i had to keep walking by people in suits and dresses while soaking wet in just my swimsuit. I'm not sure if it was me or them who felt more awkward about it.

So, we are going to be renting DVC points for next year. We can't decide between BW or BC. BC is about $300-$400 more expensive than BW. Which do you prefer?

I own at the Beach club so I'm a bit biased. I love the resort. I love the theme, the sounds, the pool, and beaches and cream.

We too have stayed at both, but did not make it to the pool at BW. We will be down in June and hopping from Bay lake to Boardwalk to Beach Club...cant wait!

5 nights. I was comparing the standard view at BW to the BC villa price. Trying to decide if the extra $300 would be worth it.


We would be going for the standard room at BW. Although we enjoy a good balcony, the view isn't really a make it or break it for us.


Have you stayed there with your son? I know he and Gracie are close in age and if he liked it she probably would too.

Does anyone know approximately how long the walk is from BW to Epcot? I know I read that BC was closer and was around a 10 minute walk.

I'll be honest the standard views at BWV aren't bad, except if you are by the lobby, but even a few villas down and it's fine. So I'd request further down. It also means you can exit from the stairways easier to get to the bus stop or the walkway to DHS if you are a fan of walking and taking stairs (we do). The rest of the standard views are honestly just fine with me and we like saving points for us doing that. Be sure to put your request in for the room right before 11 months so you can be sure to get it.

I have stayed with my son a few times there (he is 10 and we spend a lot of time in the BC/BW area last year when he was 9) It is a nice resort honestly and if you can save the money it gets my vote. Rainy days make good use of the Community Hall too so we're fans.

We've done the walk many times both to both. To Epcot even from further back is probably under 10 minutes. The walk to DHS might be 15. We might walk fast though. Truthfully BCV is kind of further back away from the lobby and adds nearly as much time as some of the BW area. BWV is further as a whole though.

The Fountain is actually better than B&C - you can get Edy's anywhere.
