We ate there last year and had no trouble getting a reservation. However, I suspect that it was because we stayed 11 nights and I booked it for the 11th night. So in all likelihood, when I did my 180+10, there were few others who were also staying 11 nights and whose 11th night was going to be at BOG. I'm planning a 10 night stay next May, and I plan to book BOG again for our last night and I am hoping our luck will hold out from last year as well. Hopefully on my 180 day mark, there will be few people who are staying 10 nights, whose 10th evening will also be at BOG.
We too had no issue getting a reservation last year or earlier this year, even w/o 180+10 but I couldn't get it at all this year even WITH 180+10... crazy! I won't be sad if I don't get a reservation because I have been twice for dinner so maybe I should give lunch a try anyway.

Congrats! We were excited to get BOG on the date we wanted and near the time we wanted too. Last year we had to shuffle things around because there was literally only one day and time we could get for BOG, and we called the morning of our 180-day mark!

We've done dinner and lunch and both are good. The decor is amazing!! We snagged a res for the last night of our stay in Oct, but we got 8:45pm (we were disappointed for .01 sec)

BTW what is the "grey stuff"? Is it a cupcake with icing or is it a type of icing on a plate? Is this only served during dinner?

We had grey stuff in two different ways ... At lunch, the grey stuff was on the Masters cupcake as icing on top. At dinner, the grey stuff was on a brownie-bar. Also as mentioned above, you may get to try a sampling of the grey stuff by itself!

Whatever it was, it was yummy!!

DH had some other kind of cupcake. I don't do sweets too well since my surgery, and we already had the grey stuff samples so I didn't order anything else for desert. Everything on that desert cart looked amazing... and apparently Beast agreed because he tried to steal one of the desert carts ;)

My DD said this was the best of all the dessert options (we each got a different one so we could sample a few) and I had to agree with her. It was "delicious".

We went for lunch last Friday (6/13). My sister and nephew had a FP and the FP check-in CM's very kindly allowed me to join them. This may have been because it was a bit of Magic for me :joyfull: ....or it may have been because it was very rainy/stormy at that time - they even sent us on in about 20min early (we asked ahead of time because we didn't know if they would say we needed to wait in line together). The real reason for this post was that I noticed the usual looong line for those without a FP (that had been there before the storm started), had gotten very short, in fact it was only across the bridge and out to the entrance/check-in area. It was interesting to me because I never thought about that being a perk of having a rain storm at lunch time ;)

I just snagged a ressie for October! I seriously don't know anyone that "gets it" and will be happy for me except you guys :joyfull: I don't even care if it might not be worth it. It's one of those things I feel like I have to do once!!! Probably a one and done but I'm gonna do it!!

We did it for lunch and dinner and enjoyed both. My wife proclaimed dinner at BoG to be one of her favorite meals on property.

Enjoy!
