Be our guest restaurant opening

I am sure this has been discussed but does anyone know when they are planning on opening the Be Our Guest restaurant. Yes I did try googling it and I didn't really see an answer except for a ballpark time. We are going the end of October into November and I am hoping a lot of the new stuff including the restaurants will be open. Also reservation-wise it would be nice to get a better idea too.

No opening date or reservation dates have been set yet. Best estimates are late this year, but nothing at all official or specific.

The original plan was counter service during the day and table service at night. I'm not sure exactly how that would work, but if the place is done up right, I would bet that they could get reservations all day long here and leave the counter service to Pinocchio's and Gaston's.

They are doing this in Mexico. We did the counter service lunch in Oct last year. They have outside window service and then you grab a seat inside or out. I think it is a money maker for them because of the volume they can serve during the day, and the higher priced tickets they get out of dinner at night.

Said another way, it takes the same amount of time to eat an inexpensive light lunch as an expensive big diner. So the thought is, volume counter service during lunch, sit down service at night.

Anybody kinda disappointed in the ceiling of the restaurant? It's supposed to be a dome and they have it set up as coffer. I am not the only one that was saying ? It seems like every other comment on that youtube video said the same thing.

I would imagine that the daytime counterservice would just be that...but at night (during the sit-down service) they have the "show elements" happening.

(Maybe a song number...the Lumiere AA, maybe an appearance by Beast and Belle, etc.)

I know counter service for lunch has been rumored since the beginning, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if they go with table service for lunch and dinner. I might be wrong, but I would think that table service makes more money than counter if it's booked solid. While the quick service isn't great at MK, there does seem be better options than for sit down. JMO.

I imagine a (possibly large) part of that is due to acoustics, which has already been discussed in another thread.
Which if true is a dumb reason. As I pointed out on the other thread Victoria and Alberts has a dome ceiling that enables diners to hear conversation across the room and, if anything, it makes the meal that more entertaining. But seriously I'm willing to bet it was more a budget thing than anything else.
