I looked at reservations for dinner and they don't have any availability for a party of 5 on any night of our stay. We will just have to see how the lines are on the days we will be at MK. I am hoping we've picked a good week. We'll see...

Do you have to have a reservation to eat lunch at the Be Our Guest restaurant

I have been trying to get a reservation for our end April trip for a long time now and no luck so I just gave up! The castmember I spoke to told me for the lunch they start lining up at 10:30! Not sure I want to spend that much time waiting~

I'm interested if there's a big difference between lunch and dinner. I know the menu is different - I'm talking more about the atmosphere, since dinner is table service. We get the DDP and I don't know if I want to use a table service credit or QS. Neither DH or I were too impressed with the dinner menu, but we're both curious what the inside looks like. Would like to hear from those who have done both lunch and dinner there.

BOG is a good value for a QS credit. Food at lunch is very good (have been there twice and we've sampled 4 different entrees...plus the YUMMY desserts!) and your food is brought to your table by a server. Food is on real plates and utensils are stainless, not plastic. You do have to get your own drinks (unlimited refills). You can visit all three dining rooms after you've eaten (guests are asked to choose a table first since the "magic rose" is a GPS locator for the servers to bring you your food. Orders do come out quickly.)

As others have stated, the lunch line looks longer than it actually is. We waited at the end of the bridge both times and were inside ordering in under a half hour. But if you don't want to wait and are curious about the inside, if you arrive at BOG before official opening time (prior to 10:30 a.m.) you may be allowed inside to see the ballroom (it is closed off so you won't be able to see the west wing or rose gallery.) We were allowed in to see it before dining there.

I think dinner at BOG was booked right around the 180 days mark. We will just see where we are at lunch time and base our decision on the line. Our week is supposed to have moderate crowds, so maybe we will be Ok.
