Does anyone have any suggestions as how to get a reservation for BOG, we tried at 180 days to be told fully booked from 11/29 - 4/12!!! Disappointed doesn't describe but my DS got 2 reservations for June

At this point all you can do is keep trying. It also does not hurt to try odd times such as an early or late dinner. They also serve lunch and breakfast which are a tad bit easier to get a reservation for.

For future reference, this restaurant is often booked solid at about 185 days out.

Keep going back to the Disney Dining site - daily if required. You may get lucky - we did last August. Plus, the closer it gets to your required dates, the more likely somebody is to cancel a reservation as they firm up their own dining plans

Yeah just keep trying. Especially around the 60 day mark when people are choosing their FP's. Some people will cancel dining reservations to accommodate ride times. But literally look all the time, people move things around all the time.

Oddly my hysband and I each have a MDE account so we tried booking 2 seperate lunches for 1 on each account and got 1:00 and 1:05 the same day when no tables for 2 were available.

I secured mine at 30 days out by using a tool on Touringplans.com. It's in beta, but it worked. It's called Reservation Finder and basically you select the restaurant name, date and time you want. The site then sends you a text or email alert (your preference) when a reservation opens up within your ideal window. Once you receive the alert, you have to quickly click the link they send you which takes you directly to Disney's reservation page, with that reservation already populated. It worked pretty seamlessly for me and I even changed our reservation time at BOG a couple times since booking, using this tool. The only catch is, you have to have a subscription on the site. It's $12 for 1 year. I was already using the site to buildout optimized touring plans for each park though (I live their books as well). They've saved me hours in the parks. I kinda stumbled onto this restaurant tool in the process, so it was a nice surprise. Either way though, it was definitely worth the investment for the restaurant tool alone since I somehow missed the 180-day warnings. I'm assuming the tool just repeatedly checks your ideal reservation time for you. Very cool concept. Hope this helps. Good luck!

How is it already booked through 4/12? That's way past the reservation window? I'm hoping to snag a reservation in December somehow.

You might try calling, I tried to get reservations at Ohana on line, I couldn't get anything, so I called and spoke to a cast member and actualy got the time and day that I wanted.

When I was up and ready before 0600 on the 180-day mark before our vacation (ready the moment the reservation opened opened up), I wanted BOG for 5 PM our third vacation day. It was the first reservation that I tried to make (183 days out) and I pretty much watched as times disappeared. I could click on a time and it would say "error" (I guess due to all the traffic) and the next thing you know that time was gone. It seemed like a "clicking match" to get the computer to respond. I wanted a 5 PM ADR but finally got an 4:20 PM ADR. So I did get in...but had I waited just a little longer...

BOG is hard to get. Hope you can get in.

I made 5 ADRs that morning between 0603 AM and 0617 AM. I got BOG, 'Ohana, Liberty Tree Tavern, Narcoossee's, and the Fantasmic Dinner show at H&V. Per my reservation numbers there were a total of 1148 reservations made within that 14-minute window. So obviously there were lots of people trying.

When I tried to book BOG at our 180 mark for our November trip I couldn't get anything for my first choice so I went all the way to the end of our 8 day vacation (which is our 2nd day in MK) and was able to get a table at 6:00 PM. I think the 180 + 10 perk makes it very hard to book the popular restaurants in the early part of your 180 day window.

My plan is to try for the second day of our trip and if that doesn't work to plan for the last day. Hopefully I'll get one.

I wonder if MVMCP could be impacting the reservation times available. When I was trying to make reservations for BOG dinner for September, I ran into the same problem - it was totally booked 185 days out on a day when the crowd levels were 1 or 2! 2 months later, I checked online and there were suddenly a bunch of dinner times available all at once.

I think someone mentioned that they don't release the dinner reservation times on party nights until a bit later.

If I were you I would just ry to book the last day of your vacation first. This will give you the best chance of getting it. (I booked mine for my 6th night and got a 6:05pm reservation, I had plenty of times to choose from too at 186 days out)

It's been a couple of years since we've been, and the last time they were offering a special FP+ for BOG QS lunch. Can you now make an ADR for QS lunch?
