Showed this to my DW who has started her new diet and she thinks its something that should have been done years ago.I tend to agree, however, fans of the famous turkey leg may be quaking in their boots.:(
Maybe we'll get lucky. If my ds sees the calorie count I won't have to watch him eat a mutant turkey leg (I wash the clothes that stuff does seem to leave an aroma for days)

We at at Be Our Guest on Jan 2nd Dinner and I don't recall the calories being on the menue. They could have been there but I was more concentrating on deciding what I was going to order and since I was on Vacation I wasn't watching the calories. Expecially with the dining plan that gave a desert with each meal. Oh and the Grey Stuff is free (not offered as desert or on the menue but has to be asked for) The food was really good. I had the Grilled Strip Steak with green beans and Fries, which paired pretty good with the belgium Chimay Blue Beer. We even ordered the meats and cheese appetizer. Desert we shared 3 different selections besides the Grey Stuff. So needless to say please noone tell me how many calories that I had had that night.

It is not on the dinner menu, only the lunch one.

Quite correct and I can understand why restaurants are resistant to listing that info right on the menu. I would love to see the sales figures of the McDonald's big breakfast platter before and after they printed its over 1000 calorie content right on the menu.

I love the idea of it as well, but there are quite a few places that would be adverse to putting this info on their menus. Cheesecake Factory springs to mind. Their Kids Pasta Alfredo is one of the worst kids meals ever

1,810 Calories and 89 grams of fat - for a KIDS meal. Why not just give your kid a pound of butter and a spoon.

I have to say that I definitely don't pay much attention to what I eat in Disney, I am on vacation from everything! But I do love this idea and agree that it should spread around the world, Disney and the whole world. I think we all need to make it a regular part of our decisions in eating and knowing what we are putting in our bodies. I am now even more curious of what those numbers are in all the yummy treats I treat myself too in WDW. I wonder if it would make me settle down a little??

I don't go on vacation to watch what I eat. I want to enjoy myself!! Vacation is for trying different things and plenty of it.

Totally agree with you, however, they are lots of people out there who are on obesity death row,and they will appreciate that Disney is trying to guide them to a healthier choice..Double cheeseburger & fries with a coke light.
