Hmmm, not what I knew to happen nor with the friends who have gone. Interesting. How long ago was that?

Still doesn't change it for me. I don't care for the dinner offerings.

I'm pretty sure you can still pick which room to be seated in. I've seen other people mention it on here because I think most people prefer the west wing over the other rooms. I'm just not the type to go for a huge breakfast or lunch meal. I'd rather do the better food for dinner. Sounds like dinner is a totally different experience from lunch and breakfast.

I’ve only done the dinner there so far, so I’m obviously unfamiliar with the lunch. How would you compare the lunch to the dinner in terms of both the food and the atmosphere?

Thanks in advance!
Lunch is OK, we love the atmosphere but if i am going to go to other then dinner i would hit the Breakfast in the morning

Maybe it matters when you go - if one is too full they won't give a choice? Not sure. I actually didn't like the West Wing LOL I think the Rose Gallery was our favorite. Again though, I don't care for the food offerings at dinner so that's not a draw anyway.

We didn't bother doing breakfast yet. Too many friends went and said pass. I'm not a huge breakfast eater anyway though. Admittedly we prefer to eat elsewhere at MK anyway now that we've done BOG a handful of times. We were never huge fans to begin with though. Every meal except our last had a lot of issues going on.

When it comes to the table services places, we usually try to eat at different places each trip anyway. In fact, TOMORROW is the day to do our reservations! :)

We're going at Christmas, which is the busiest time of the year. On the 180 day mark there was plenty of availability for all meals at BoG. Halfway through the day, most of the reasonable times for dinner were gone. The next day, most of the reasonable times for all meals were gone. I ended up needing two different BoG reservations 3 or 4 days later because Disney modified their park hours, and I was able to score those easily that morning using Touring Plans Reservation Finder.

Then I left it alone until about two weeks ago when I decided that I wanted a reservation 30 minutes earlier than I had. I again used Touring Plans Reservation Finder, and 5 or 6 different reservations popped up within a matter of a day or two, and I was eventually able to get one for the exact time I wanted.

This is all for day 2 of our trip. Christmas Day, actually.

We're more of the last minute type anyway LOL Our 180 day window for next trip has long come and gone.

BOG was done the last trip at request of another. The time before that it was because it was available 2 hours prior for a group of 9. We had huge hiccups the very first time (before it was a legit ADR) and thought we'd try it after it was all ironed out. We go at least yearly, if not a few times a year so repeats are always there. It's on our 'nope' list for while now.

I haven’t eaten here in a couple years, so I was wondering, is it still tough to get a dinner reservation? Or is it more doable these days? I, of course, am talking about getting a reservation at the 180-day mark.

Thanks in advance for your insight!

Just wanted to let you know that last Saturday was my 180-day for reservations. I didn't book BOG since we've already been there, but I did look and at that time, there were a few good dinner times available, like in the 6:30-range. So, I think if you go online 6 am Florida time, you will be able to find something fairly easy. Good luck!

We got BoG about a week before we arrived by checking every so often. They were available at 180 days, but our plans changed. I agree that dinner is my favorite meal there, lunch is good too, but we will not do breakfast again. For the price we didn't feel the selection or quality was there. They did let us choose the dining room.
